I had recently have an awful experinec with customer service in Tk Maxx. It was absolutely shocking and I have never experienced anything like it.
I purchased a jumper which was too big for me and decided to take it back the next day in the morning. I took it to a store in Sutton but bought the jumper in Kingston but as I knew you can exchange/return Tk Maxx items anywhere in Uk. I was gob;smacked to be sent back to Kingston and offered no help at all, no explaination or assistance.
The manager said that I have to take it back to Kingston because I purchased the item there but in the mean time his assistant marked R/retutn on my receipt and I didnt notice it when he gave it to me.
I went to Kingston but refused to help me because the already marked my item as return. They asked me to leave and call their main office within working hours 9-5om Mon-Fri. It was saturday/ So I requested number for Sutton and called them from my mobile outside the shop. Why didnt they do it> It clearly was the managers fault and they even addmited it.
He was absolutely useless and asking me what do I want him to do? Well, he made a mistake and I asked him to call Kingston and sort it out.
When I went to the shop again they were all over me and exchanged the item within seconds. It only took one phone call which they should be in charge of.
I would recommend to seriously consider what are you buying, keep the price tag attached, receipt and dont leave till they solve the problem.
