I purchased A T.P swing deck when my son was 3.I wanted an outdoor toy which would be weather proof, safe and last. This product has not disappointed.
There are several options available which incorporate climbing, swinging and sliding-to name a few.
1.The explorer is a basic climbing frame with 2 height adjustments to grow with your child,it can be added to with a variety of options, but does not accomodate a swing.
2.The challenger is similar but with a little more to it.Like the explorer the height can be adjusted, and it can take a slide and play tent in addition to other fun accessories.TP have just added the acorn play frame which is more compact and would suit a smaller garden.
I chose the swingdeck option as I really liked the rockabout swing - a large double seated swing also suitable for a baby ,with a harness(purchased separately). The swingdeck can take two swings and there are are several swings to choose from. There is also a giant swing frame available which can take 3 swings -this costs an extra 4 pounds but takes up a lot more space in the garden. In addition to the swings the frame also has a tent and brilliant slide.
I also purchased the water slide attachment to add to the main slide. This is basically a long strip of strong plastic which the child slides down with the addition of water, great fun on a hot day!
TP give a lifetime garantee against product failure due to rust, ours has up for 3 years now and no rust! Before buying I shopped around looking for the best price and it appears that Tp have their prices fixed-I found little difference between retailers.I purchased mine from John Lewis because they offer to price match(and were the cheapest anyway)they also deliver free, and have a great after sales record.
Great excitement when all the parcels arrived-but then tears when hopeless parents couldn't follow the instructions.I phoned the Tp helpline convinced we had a bit missing! They were really helpful patiently talking us through construction-they even phoned the next day to check all was well!
I have recently purchased a Tp sand pit with lid for my baby, again well made with corner seats for the child to sit and play.
Tp also make a large range of other products including trampolines, football nets and table tennis tables to name af few. They have a good catalogue tel 01299-872800.If you live near Reading John Lewis have a lot of the range set up to see.My son has had hours of fun with this product-it is great for imaginative play ,he loves the tent which is strong enough to take several children at once and can be left out in all weathers and is easy to wipe clean. The slide is really strong-although not cheap costs around 80 pounds .As we have a toddler I have removed the bottom rung of the slide ladder to stop him getting up!He really enjoys rolling his ball up the slide and watching it roll down.Oh I forget to mention that Tp also make a wooden playframe costs about 800 ponnds for the basic thing and like the other frames you add to them! All the frames will probably last until the children are about 10 ,I think thats really good value.
Advantages: Give many hours of play Disadvantages: none
...looking around we chose a TP Activity Toys one. This was an excellent decision.
These frames are built to last we are now 8 years on and the Frame is still taking a battering from my brood. It will stand a lot more over the next few years. I know of people with much older TP Climbing frames, which are still in regular use and working well. I think they come with a ten year guarantee.
These frames can be added to. There are 3 basic climbing frames ... ...once on it. TP Activity toys do not just do climbing frames, they have an excellent range of other outdoor toys. They sell swings, which are suitable for quite large children, they have a choice of seats and numbers of seats. Some of my friends went for the swing with climbing attachments and they too are well used. Trampolines, various sizes at various prices.
Seesaws, we have one that goes round as well as up and down, that is very popular, unfortunately ...

Advantages: Keep the children happy for hours Disadvantages: Big
We bought a TP Challenger climbing frame in July - what a great purchase! Our two children (3 and 5 years had outgrown their Little Tikes toys.
We went along to North Park Farm Activity Toys in Albourne West Sussex which has a vast array of activity toys that children can test at their leisure. After an hour of play we decided on the TP Challenger.
The Challenger is a basic climbing frane and monkey bars, to which you can add an assortment of extras:-
... ...bridge
- jungle run
- scramble net
- firemans pole
- basketball game
- twizzler
and toddler kits (which are basically heavy duty plastic to stop children falling through monkey bars etc).
It can keep an active one year old happy to an adventurous 8 year old. How? Well it comes in 2 different heights. Once the children have outgrown the smaller height, you just add the extension legs (which are supplied at no extra cost).
The frame does not ...

Advantages: Keeps children challenged for years Disadvantages: takes a long time to set up
I purchased a challenger climbing frame and I am absolutely delighted with it.
Increases from toddler size to child size and will be suitable for up to 10 years of age.
I have also got a gurantee that says it will last for years!!!
My daughter is a real climber and have had difficulty keeping her occupied, even though she is not quite 3. She absolutely loves this, she has a den to play and hide in, a long wavy slide, climbing bars, twizzler bar ... ...lots fo additions to the set that you can purchase as you wish to spread the cost. e.g. Basket Ball Net. This is suitable for boys and girls, so will be suitable for my baby boy whe he gets older. A real investment as an outdoor toy that will last a lot more than a couple of years! ...

Advantages: Nice and compact size for the smaller garden. Disadvantages: Maybe the cover could be better.
...usually best - or, if you're feeling flush in the 'budget' stakes, rubber play surfacing is best. We have grass!!!!
Spare parts are available from 'tptoys.co.uk' should anything untoward happen to springs, trampoline bed etc. The trampoline itself comes with a five year guarantee against rust causing failure on the galvanised steel frame. In order to activate this guarantee you must complete the guarantee card that is packaged with the trampoline and send it off to TPToys.
Keep the manual somewhere safe too, because there's a number printed on the back, that corresponds to the number printed on the guarantee form, which is your 'product guarantee number' you would need to quote, should you ever need to contact them.
The manual provided is good and informative, does 'what it says on the tin' really. As well as instructions on how to...
