Tresemme for coloured hair

I'm not very loyal to any particular brand of hair care products, but I do like V05 and Tresemme very much and return to these brand often. I always buy this colour revitalising shampoo from Tresemme whenever I see it on offer.
Tresemme products are designed to give you a salon quality at home and at an affordable price. I first became aware of the brand when the annoying hairdresser who was once on Big Brother was advertising it on TV (in case you managed to forget these adverts that were once everywhere you can refresh your memory here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGScqPdyj2s ).

Price and availability

I have bought this shampoo from Asda, Boots and Wilkinson before but it is also easy to find in many other supermarkets and shops.
In Wilkinson a 900ml bottle of this is currently £4.27, they don't seem to stock the smaller size.
In Boots (and also in their online store) you can find this shampoo for sale at £3.26 for the 500ml size (which will gain you 12 points if you have an advantage card). They don't seem to stock the larger size but they do currently have the shampoo on a buy one get one free offer which also includes other Tresemme products.
In Asda the 500ml size costs £3.26 and the 900ml size is £4. The larger size is currently on offer at 3 for £10 and the offer also includes some other Tresemme products.

The price of this shampoo is pretty good and I love that you can get large bottles as these offer more value for your money, especially if you find them on offer which I find they frequently are.

Packaging

The bottle that this shampoo comes in is round and curves over at the top into a small lid. The lid had a push cap on it to dispense the shampoo. The bottle and lid are both black and the bottle has some red patterns running across it (the bottle is the same is in the Ciao picture but with a very slightly different design on it).

I like the packaging, possibly because I like black. It looks sleek and no-fuss to me which is nice. I'm not so keen on the cap dispenser through as this can sometimes get a little clogged up.

Using the product

To use you massage into wet hair and then rinse out, as you would with any other liquid shampoo. I follow this up with the matching Tresemme colour revitalise conditioner.
The product is easy to squeeze out of the bottle provided you don't get a blockage in the dispenser. The shampoo doesn't have a particular fragrance but it does smell nice. The consistency is good, not too thin or thick but somewhere in the middle.
The shampoo lathers up nicely and rinses out well when you are done.
When I use this shampoo my hair does feel in good condition and it does seem good at prolonging the colour of my hair. It doesn't give me a fresh, deep cleaned feeling, but then shampoos designed to help prolong your hair colour usually do not. My hair feels soft and has a nice shine to it after using this shampoo, but it is slightly harder for me to create a voluminous look after using this shampoo as this gives a sleek look rather than a full bodied one.
Overall

I like this product and I think it's good value. I would recommend this to anyone with coloured hair as it really helps me to keep my colour and stop my hair drying out when used with the matching conditioner.
