Advantages Advantages Large sized bottles- last a long time

Disadvantages Disadvantages some people will find the price tag a little on the expensive side

+INTRODUCTION+ WARNING- Do not be put off this product by its annoying tv advertisement!! You'll have all seen the ads on TV for this product, you know the one- Where an annoying man (formally a reality star on a show called 'The Salon, channel 4) is dancing about- claiming its not for the normal folk "its only for professionals" Well- I have to admit, I half thought twice about buying this product in the fear that maybe in some way I was indirectly paying this silly mans wages! But thanks to my lovely store of Wilkinsons- I saw it on a buy one get one free offer, and thought, What the hell- I ... more

Advantages Advantages It is da bomb.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages A little costly.

I recently watched an advertisement for ‘TRESemme’ shampoo. Being as silly as I am; I felt I just had to buy it as it had the word ‘tres’ in its name (tres being my current favourite word). TRESemme is advertised as the shampoo: that is used in salons by professionals. It is now availiable to buy, thus allowing us to achieve a post salon feel to our hair daily (without the cost or the salon). The TRESemme range has actually been around for 20 years but has never been sold commercially; having up until recently, only been used in salons. The TRESemme shampoo range is now available for the ... more

    Advantages Advantages cheap, large bottles

Disadvantages Disadvantages alarming shampoos, clingy conditioners

During,my post-university-cash-crisis, I took a job at the UK's favourite highstreet chemist, and was promoted to the lofty position of "Head of Hair" (note the comic irony in this title). This involved being responsible for the two hair aisles, one being professional haircare, such as Trevor Sorbie and John Frieda, and the other being run-of-the-mill haircare, such as Timotei and Sunsilk. Being a rather stingy person, I spend as little as possible on everything I can, so when TRESemme was launched, I was really excited because it offered salon performance at an affordable price. It absolutely ... more

Advantages Advantages Leaves hair feeling clean and smelling fresh

Disadvantages Disadvantages Might be a problem for dry skin sufferers

TRESEMME VITAMIN E & ALOE COLOUR REVITALISING SHAMPOO *This review has been updated - please read important note at the end! Just occasionally, I am talked into parting with a lot of money to purchase the shampoo stocked by my hairdresser. Hand on heart? Quite honestly, I really don't see much of a difference in the condition of my hair whether I use over-priced products or a cheaper range. Mind you, there's cheap and there's cheap. I am well aware of the claim that shampoos purchased in supermarkets etc are 'watered down' versions of the 'real thing' sold by salons. This might well be true ... more

Advantages Advantages Cleans well, and the price vs. bottle size is a bargain

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's another one of those products with nonsense vitamins in

The first thing that struck me about TRESemme had to be the bottle size, at 900ml each they're not only the better part of a litre, but were also the biggest bottles on the shelf. Considering they're just £3.49 a piece (Tesco), that's plenty of shampoo for the money, particularly when I normally spend about £2-3 for something a third of their size. However, I try to be objective when compairing quantity vs. price as the real value is in how far a product goes. I do hate to buy an extra large bargain size product only to discover it has got almost no active ingredients in it and I've just ... more
