Advantages: Clear instructions, many extra features, avoids all trucking hazards. Disadvantages: Almost too large, expensive to purchase
Problem - My husband is a trucker and travels all over the country doing different routes virtually every day, He uses a Tom Tom GO as a basic Sat-nav which is great, but does not take into consideration any of the extra hazards that LGV drivers encounters daily. He therefore was looking for the most reliable sat nav designed for truckers, and settled on this one.
At around £450 it certainly isn't an easy decision to make to purchase one, and seeing as they are only distributed by the makers, you won't find it much cheaper than that either. The S7000 is the 'big brother' of the S2000, it has identical Sat-nav software, but on a much larger screen and the unit also has another couple of brilliant extras, which certainly make life on the road a bit nicer.
The Snooper Sirius S7000 Truckmate is the same as the normal Snooper Sirius S ...

I have recently purchased an ex demostrator S2000 GT. 10 miles on the clock (yes 10 miles) and was some £4000 off list price. I use the car most days and love it. It really puts a smile on your face. Expect to get around 25 mpg running around town. If you thrash it all the time it will be a lot less. The wife and I drove the car down through France in August. We cocvered over 2000 miles and averaged out over 30mpg in 8 days. We had the roof up for only 100 miles and it was superb. The car drew so much attention it was hard to belive. Do I regret buying it now in the current climate? No way. After a crappy day in the office I can jump in the car and hear that magic sound once you get over 6500rpm and all is forgotten. If you are looking at buying a roadster it is one to consider. If you want to be the same as everyone else ...
