We didn't actively look for this until end of November and then the race was on. Most high street stores didn't stock it and ones that did had run out of stock and didn't know when the next lot would be in. We scoured the internet for it and finally found it online and paid £19.99 + £4.50 P&P. Now the question is was it worth it!!
My son's face on Christmas ... ...eagerly plugged it into the TV (there is a scart plug and an AV plug) put in the 4 AA batteries and off we all went.
It is a bit like a dance mat, you use your foot to select the game option and then you pass your foot over the sensor area (looks live a football) and hopefully score a goal. You must not kick the sensor area and this was one of the hardest things to get across to my son. You also cannot do a run up to take the shot, ... more
My 7 year old son begged for this for Christmas from about November onwards. It was heavily advertised on TV and he is a total football nut!

My son's face on Christmas day was a picture when he realised he'd got it and we eagerly plugged it into the TV (there is a scart plug and an AV plug) put in the 4 AA batteries and off we all went.
It is a bit like a dance mat, you use your foot to select the game option and then you pass your foot over the sensor area (looks live a football) and hopefully score a goal. You must not kick the sensor area and this was one of the hardest things to get across to my son. You also cannot do a run up to take the shot, so you basically stand on the mat and pass your foot over the sensor.
The levels you can select are:
Practice player vs computer player 1 vs player 2 team A vs team B
If you score a goal you get cheerleaders, if you don't the goalie laughs. The graphics are quite basic and you cannot skip the goalie laughing/cheerleaders to go back to have another go, you have to wait for it to go back on its own.
The novelty of this game lasted about 2 days and now very rarely comes out of the box which is a shame after the amount of searching we had to do.
So the answer is - no it wasn't worth it. The novelty factor is extremely small. The only good point is it packs up easily and neatly back into it's box and fits nicely in my cupboard!
