Advantages: Over 2200 entries and loads of useful info! Disadvantages: No pictures! Some high profile TV stars missing!
...Being an autograph collector I’m always on the look out for interesting books and the TVTimes Who’s On Television is just such a book!
It’s filled to bursting with entries on over 2200 television personalities. These entries detail the professional work of each personality, television work; films; radio plays and series and to a lesser extent stage work. Where dates and places of birth are known
these are also given as well as hobbies! But best of all for us autograph collectors the book also gives contact addresses for each personality - usually agents or managers addresses. Also included at the back of the book are useful addresses like Television Companies and Production Companies.
This is now my third edition of the book and unlike the previous two editions this latest does not include a black and white photo of each personality...

Advantages: Brilliant price for priceless information! Disadvantages: Would have been nice to see some more pictures - perhaps like a photo of each celeb next to their descriptions and addresses
...Being an autograph collector, I have managed to collate a vast number of celebrity addresses from various sources. This book was highly recommended to me by a fellow autograph collector, and I am so glad I bought it - I have managed to get some fantastic results.
Who's who on Television is produced by the Radio Times, and lists over 2000 celebrity addresses. Along with each address, is a short list of which films and television programmes that the celebrity has starred in, sometimes with details about their hobbies and date of birth etc. This book does not list just British celebrities, but also some well known American and Australian TV personalities.
I really cannot sing the praises of this book enough - it's the bible to any autograph collector. At a cost of £9.99 and being widely available, this item is a MUST, especially when you...

Advantages: pure comedy! you couldnt make this up! Disadvantages: none!
...This book is a highly hilarious book written by Danny Wallace. Some may have heard of him before he has written other books and been on TV a few times - most recently Celebrity Weakest Link.
The book is about Danny himself and his quest to 'say yes more'. It takes you around the world and shows how little 'projects' - which we all have - go a bit crazy and the world around us stays the same. his interactions with his girlfriend are hilarious!
He basically stops saying yes to oppurtunites that he would normally say no to. You see his life develop and his career excel. It makes you actually think - maybe I should do this!
It is printed in various versions and I bought this as soon as it came out as I really like his persoal style of writing. Its as if he is talking to himself but knows he is talking to you also. I bought...

Advantages: Builds on TV series Disadvantages: Not necessarily accurate
...Walking With Dinosaurs is the companion book to the BBC television series of the same name. The book is laid out in the same format as the TV series with each chapter covering an episode of the series.
The photography is superb, with stills taken from the television programmes, as well as other photos and diagrams not aired on TV.
The book is reasonably well laid out and written in a clear, easy to read style. A lot of the information provided in the book is speculative, the authors cannot possibly know what colour dinosaurs were or what sounds they made. It is their best guess of what like was like in those times. It is however, very entertaining....
