TV TIMES MAGAZINE
The TV Times has been trusted for years by many people. I recently discovered the TV Times this year because I didnt buy it for ages and the price went up by 10p! OK the magazine may be £1.20 but it is worth it trust me!TV TIMES HISTORY
The TV Times was launched in 1955 the same years ITV was launched too! TV Times carried ITV listings whilst the RadioTimes carried BBC listings. However, in 1982, the TV Times carried Channel 4 listings aswell as ITV listings making it even better value for money. In 1991, the TV Times and the RadioTimes were to carry all listings e.g. TV Times carried BBC listings aswell as the usual ITV and Channel 4 listings and the same with the RadioTimes which carried the two other channels aswell as BBC. What's on TV and TV Quick were launched in March of that year.HOW I DISCOVERED TV TIMES MAGAZINE

On the 26th July 2011 I went out with my nan to the newsagents and bought the TV Times again, but this time it was £1.20! But I bought it anyway.
TV TIMES (INSIDE THE MAGAZINE)The cover has the TV Times logo in red with the word 'Times' running through the word 'TV'. The week date (27 Aug - 2 Sept 2011) is in the 'T'. In the top left hand corner it states 'great for freeview'. This front cover features Alison King (Carla Connor) of coronation street having an interview with TV Times about her rape storyline this week. Also the front cover features Sally Lindsay in a star interview talking about her ready to be a loose woman. Matt Smith (Doctor Who) is on an on set report talking about Doctor Who and David Jason is also featured on the cover (don't know who he is!). The price is displayed on he scan barcode and the website (www.whatsontv.co.uk).
When you turn over the page you are greeted with yes the usual, an advert! how typical! Anyway that is the first page! When you go to the second page on the left side you get a guide to the inside of the magazine. On the rest of the page is called My TV Week which is where the editor (Ian Abbott) picks the shows he will be watching for that week. When you go to page 4 you get one double page spread of TV Times news which is news about the stars of TV and soaps, this week, it includes Eden Taylor - Draper (Belle Dingle) from Emmerdale, running for charity and incouraging other kids to do it too.
Page 6 and 7 is the cover story of the magazine and, like I said Alison King (who plays Carla Connor in coronation street) was chatting to TV Times about her rape storyline for this week.Pages 8 - 19 feature a TV Times talks to... and a TV Times real life special with really good articles to keep you reading for ages!
TV TIMES SOAPWEEKThe TV Times soapweek is written by Alison Slade and she must have a talent because she writes the soapweek well (very well, in fact) and this is how it is layed out...
