Company:
TY beanies are amazing little teddies, that come in all shapes and form. Some of them are in the shape of teddy bears, the traditional style that sit on their bum with their arms aside them. Though some of them are actual animals, many creatures from the sea to the sky. There are a number of monkeys available, one being Bongo the monkey.

Bongo:
Bongo's name is quite appropriate. I quite like it, as I am fond of foreign music and instruments, and yes indeed like the bongos too! He looks really cute too! His fur is a deep chocolate milk brown colour, which is very attractive. His paws and face are a lighter brown shade, more of a caramel. The two shades blend together wonderfully! Im not sure if monkeys really look so neat though! His fur is quite soft to tough too. If you run your finger up it, it does that weird and wonderful thing where it goes a darker shade, something that amuses me for hours! He is quite delicate so I would not suggest putting him in the washing machine if he gets dirty, especially since he has beans in his lower half!

Poem:
Every TY beanie has a little heart shaped cardboard tag on their ear. In each one there is a little poem unique to them! Bongo's reads:

Bongo the monkey lives in a tree
The happiest monkey you'll ever see
In his spare time he plays the guitar
One of these days he will be a big star!

It's not the best of poems, but it is quite nice.

Purchasing:
Unfortunately, Bongo is retired. Ths means that he is not being made any more or sold in shops. Never fear though, as you still may be able to buy him in car boots or jumbles, or auction shops such as eBay. Though this does mean the price is varied. Some may sell him cheaply as he is so old, but others may price him at a cost as he is a bit of an antique! Personally, I would not pay more than £4 for him, unless he was one of the last i needed (!), then I would pay a little more!

Bongo is a gorgeous little monkey and not one to be missed from any TY collection! He is probably one of the nicest monkeys in the collection, and although not my personal favourite beanie, a great present for any fan of TY or rainforests!

Bongo is probably enjoying his retirement drinking in the Congo as we speak.
