Company: TY beanies are amazing little teddies, that come in all shapes and form. Some of them are in the shape of teddy bears, the traditional style that sit on their bum with their arms aside them. Though some of them are actual animals, many creatures from the sea to the sky. One of the bears is called Celebrations.
Celebrations: Celebrations is quite a positive name, suggesting there is something definitely worth celebrating about this little bear! Indeed, he was released in 2002 to celebrate the Golden Jubilee. I must say, that is quite a special occasion for a celebratory TY beanie!
Appearance: You cannot miss Celebrations among the others - he is such a bright orange shade that stands out from far off. Its a very rich colour, perfect for his occasion. On his chest there is alittle purple circle which contains a crown, marking the Jubilee. Around his neck there is a purple bow too. He definitely looks like royalty, though I think he would be even better if he had a little purple crown.
Texture: To the touch, Celebrations has a very silky smooth, soft fur. It's quite fine too, and rather flat. If you rub your finger backwards over it, it does that special thing when it goes a shade darker. He is very warm and kind to the touch and worthy of being this special bear!
Washability: Celebrations has beans inside him. For this reason it is best not to put him in the washing machine if it can be avoided. Instead, I would recommend simply washing his dirt patches by hand, otherwise you may end up with a messy, if not broken, washing machine!
Price: Celebrations is retired now, which means that TY no longer manufcature him. Never fear though as he may still be purchased from car boot sales or auction sites such as eBay. This does mean that the prices can vary though - some may sell him at a high cost as he is an antique, however others will see him as old tat and auction him for next to nothing. I personally would not pay more than £4 for him.
Celebrations is a gorgeous little TY which was sold to mark the Jubilee. He is certainly the royalty in your collection and is not to be missed.
