In the mountains you'll find me Sitting near a bamboo tree You'll laugh at such a funny sight I only dress in black and white!

From about the age of ten, my friends and I were addicted to collecting TY beanies. For those of you who do not know for some strange reason, TY Beanies are a collection of little teddies in all forms, from animals and teddy bears. Once you start a collection they are quite addictive. Their cute little faces draw you in and indeed they are all adorable!
One of the Beanies is a Panda, named China. China sits on his fours, and looks so adorable! His fur is black and white, as you would expect, with the arms and paws black alond with his ears and patches over his eyes, the rest of him white. He looks quite sad, his mouth upside down with his beady little eyes hidden in the blackness of the patches. Though he looks adorable all the same.
If you give China a stroke, you will find that he is very soft indeed. His fur is so warm and fuzzy, he's perfect for cuddling! Though a downside to this is that if you put him in a washing machine you run the risk of ruining his fur. Also he has little beans in his bum and paws and if he were to rip in the washing machine, well it would be a hell of a mess to say the very least!
The panda comes with a little tag, a little red heart with the TY symbol on it. Inside you will find a special little poem dedicated to China. It reads:
In the mountains you'll find me Sitting near a bamboo tree You'll laugh at such a funny sight I only dress in black and white!
If I'm honest I do not like the poem, but I imagine others will. I dont find it very cute or cuddly or sweet in any way, but I cannot moan - I did not exactly buy him for the poem! It is simply an extra.
If you want to buy this bear, you may struggle a bit. He is now known as 'retired', which means you cannot buy him in stores as he is no longer being manufactured. You may however be able to buy him on auction sites such as eBay. This does however mean that the price is not guaranteed. Some may price him low as he is so old, but others may see him as an antique in the collection, and will price him quite high. Personally I would not pay more than £5 or £6 for him, unless he was perhaps one of the last few you needed or you were an extreme panda lover!
China is a delightfully sweet little panda and looks so innocent! He is one that should be part of anybody's TY collection and is not to be missed!
