The question has to asked, who's idea was it to hold an outdoor festival in Scotland? I have however been twice. The first year the campsite was grim. There were far too many people crammed into the one space and the smell of rotting food was rank. Most of the taps stopped working halfway through through the weekend and the toilets in one site overflowed washing away several tents - so be warned. The other down is the weather, Scotland does tend to be prone to rain. i think for anyone that's not been to festivals before will not be dissapointed. They have the big name bands etc. But alongside the likes of Glastonbury there is no comparison.

Advantages: Both have excellent lineups, Scottish atmosphere, deeply memorable Disadvantages: TITP - the chances of bad weather, GOTG - lack of traditional atmosphere
