WHAT IS IT?

‘T-Zone is specially formulated with effective natural ingredients to keep skin healthy, clear and irritation free.’ (As said on the bottle).

T-Zone Deep Clean Foaming Face Wash helps clear spots, helps restore and clean broken/irritated skin and cleans and refreshes the skin.

It does say that it is a ‘face wash’, so by hearing the name you would think it is just that. A face wash. But it isn’t JUST that. As I have said above, it helps many skin troubles such as dry skin, spots etc. The front of the bottle doesn’t give away much about what the product is so you do have to turn over and read the back of the bottle to actually know what the product is and what the product does.

It is a liquid in the bottle, but as soon as it is dispensed onto your hand, it turns into foam. Now I think most people will agree with me here that using a foam product is easier to apply than a liquid product – less messy. In my case anyway.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN ‘INGREDIENTS’ THAT MAKE THIS PRODUCT EFFECTIVE?

There are 3 main ‘active ingredients’ in the foam wash which are all organic and essential oils. The obvious one being the ‘famous’ and ‘popular’ Tea Tree. The other 2 are Soy and Pumpkin Seed. All of these products have their own special properties which do different things to help our skin:

TEA TREE – We are all familiar with this, and most of us know that it can be used for many things, the main one being Spot Treatment. Tea Tree is a natural antiseptic ‘which actively kills bacteria’.

SOY – This is a protein enriched ‘ingredient’ which helps to clean and refresh the skin, helping to keep it looking and feeling nice and healthy.

PUMPKIN SEED – This is the ingredient which helps ‘restore and repair’ irritated and broken skin. It is high in Vitamin E, just like Tea Tree so it too helps to clean and refresh.

There are 3 more essential ingredients which are used in the other T-Zone products, but not in this one. These are:

HOW TO APPLY/USE:

Firstly, you need to wet or dampen your face. Then, you need to dispense some foam wash into your hand.

The bottle is a dispenser bottle, where you push the top and the foam comes out. When you press the dispenser, the amount that comes out is quite small. It isn’t advised how much to use, so I usually use 3 ‘dispenses’ – if that’s a word.

Once you have dispensed the foam, you have to massage it gently onto your face. The bottle instructions are very brief, and don’t say how long to leave the foam on your face for. I leave it on for around a minute or two.

After applying the foam to your face, all you need to do is ‘rinse thoroughly’. You can repeat if desired, though it isn’t said to do so on the bottle. I sometimes apply twice, and I haven’t had any ‘effects’ from ‘repeating’, so I’m guessing it is safe to use twice. That’s only my guess, but everybody’s skin is different, and applying twice may ‘affect’ some people.

DOES IT WORK?

Well, if you have read my Tea Tree Oil review, then you might know that I have never had any spot troubles/problems. My skin has always been quite clear, and if I do get a spot, it stays for one or two days, and then goes on it’s own with no help from products.

A couple of years ago, I started to get little spots on my fore head, which you couldn’t see unless I was in the light. I didn’t want them to get worse, even though my Mum kept saying ‘there’s nothing there!’ I still applied the foam wash because I didn’t want them to get worse.

I can’t really remember why my Mum bought this; I think it was for my Sister. Anyway, I read the back of the bottle at what the product was meant to do – I say this because you don’t know if it’s going to work if you haven’t tried it before do you, so…..

I used the foam wash every morning before school and after about 5 – 7 days, the ‘spots’ were gone.

Now you don’t need to have spots to use the product. In fact you don’t need irritated/broken skin or anything else to use the foam wash. So, I carried on using it, and as it says on the bottle, it helped clean my skin and it felt clean and refreshed all day.

PACKAGING:

The foam wash is in a 200ml plastic dispenser bottle, as said earlier in the review. The bottle is see-through and is a mint green colour.

The front is very simple with just the name of the product and the names of the 3 ‘active ingredients’. There is also the T-Zone logo, which is an orange rectangle with a white swirl in the middle.

On the back of the bottle there is the usual stuff such as, ‘How To Apply’, ‘Benefits’, ‘Ingredients’ and also a small bit of information on each of the 3 ‘active ingredients.

The overall bottle isn’t very attractive and eye-catching; it is a very usual and simple design.

MY OPINION:

I would recommend this product to anybody. It IS NOT just for people with skin problems. It is a normal face wash as well as a ‘treatment’ product. I have no skin problems, and using this product really makes me feel cleaner than I do when using normal soap.

My skin always feels refreshed after using the product and also feels softer than it normally does.

The product worked after a few days for me, but quite a few people have said it has took a while for it to take affect on them. Everyone’s skin is different isn’t it, so do be patient, and don’t give up on the product early. Give it at least a week to work for skin problems.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU SHOULD KNOW?

The only thing which you should know, which may be very important to some people is that the T-Zone company is against animal testing.

The product is for everyone and does not say that it is unsuitable for anybody with certain illnesses, any other skin problems besides the ones mentioned in my review or if pregnant. It is suitable for everybody.
