Ok so i wasnt too sure about tis game at first. Im not the best at table football on an actual table, so playing it in simulation did'nt seem the best idea, but something was telling me to give it a go. I was not too sure wether it would work well on screen and how the controls would work. But i have to say im pleasantly surprized that this is actually a good game. Main Features: Fast paced table football action Create your own team of Table Football players Play using official rules or create bespoke rules to suit the game Partnership with ITSF Play on official tables
Firstly you are greeted with a set of options enabling you to set-up games using any of the Table footballing rule sets, you may select to play from a number of pitches, also deciding you're team, the opponents and the weight/ material of the ball you wish to use. Each of you're opponents have a distinctive style of play, each having their own set of skills and tactics! I have to say that this is not the easiest game to get to grips with, it took me a couple of hours to get used to the controls. Although they seem quite straight forward: Grab a single rod by pointing the Wii remote at the selected rod and pressin 'A', or you can controll all rod's by holding down 'B'. To spin you're players you have to press 'C' or '1', also moving the analogue stick on the nun-chuck in up and down motions to rotate the rod. As i said it took a few hours to get to grips with this and start winning matches. At first these controls are a lot to take in and you do not get much time to get used to them as you need to use certain techniques from the off! But with a bit of practice i started to really get into the game and enjoy it.. Graphics are adequate for the game, great colours and backdrops. Really bringing the tables and gameplay to life. You mainly get a bird's eye view of the tables which are very helpful. Player profiles also show faces, whilst in the game players are displayed like figuers you see on an actual table football. Teams are represented with colours (Red team, Blue team). Families and groups of friends will get the benefit of this game as it can offer some entertainment. But overall i find this game is best suited to table football fans and anyone who likes the idea of playing a sporting game on a console! It offers hours of play time as you get used to controls and better yourself in becoming a pro at the game. Im guessing though that if you're not a fan you will probably have this in the pile for a few plays every now and then. A good game though. Overall 7 out of 10!
