Tak and the power of Juju is a platform game for the gamecube which was described as being the best platform game of 2003, so it is quite ancient in comparison to some games, but it is still as much fun.

platformers it has a cute main character, an ineffectual bad guy and lots of running and jumping over...platforms. The problem for any new platformer appearing today is that it's such an old and long-ago-mastered genre that any new game has got to have something pretty special in order to stand out. Tak's primary attempt at a unique selling point (apart from the fact that it was made in conjunction with Nickelodeon) revolves around the various animal-based puzzles (all the villagers have been turned into sheep by the aforementioned bad guy) created by various inter-species rivalries (orang-utans hate sheep for some reason) and bribery with food. This aspect of the game can occasionally be inspired but unfortunately the solution to each puzzle is rarely less than obvious. The rest of the game is strictly by-the-numbers, with inconsequential combat, an obtuse camera system and far too many objects to pick up. Tak and the Power of JuJu is by no means a bad game--it is in fact a slightly above average game--but it's unlikely to enthral unless you've really not played this sort of thing before. And if you haven't then the likes of Jak II, Ratchet & Clank 2, Ape Escape 2 and ICO come much more highly recommended. --David Jenkins

Advantages: Great platform game, fun for hours, great sound and graphics Disadvantages: Confusing levels

Tak is the main character of the game and we are introduced to him whilst being introduced to Jibolba, an old man is the Shaman of the village Pupanunu and is also Tak's mentor. Jibolba trained another warrior who is known as Lok to save the Moon ... ...it is the task of Tak to find Lok and bring him back to a human form by finding magical plants known as Nubu plants and destroy them. Tak looks like a little Indian with his purple war paint around his eyes and his feather in his hair.
So whilst all of that does sound like complete gibberish we are then introduced to Flora whose mother is called Moon Juju and Flora is tasked with helping Tak in anyway that she can, through training exercises and ...

Tak + Juju = Fun Review ofTak and the Power of Jujuby
JcMullaney
Advantages: Graphics, Sound. Nearly everything. Disadvantages: Can get Annoying and Linear
Tak and the power of the juju is a hugely entertaining experience. Using animals to help overcome challenges and obstacles tak provides a fresh scope to platform games. Tak provides cartoony lines to all of his experiences in the game, like "boom shaka laka!"
It's quite like all the other platform games out there like Jak and Daxter or Rachet and Clank, except with more charm.
The gameplay is a bit the same: " get this..." "collect this... " "Find ...
