Last night I dreamt that Sally Beauman shouldn't have bothered!!

Advantages: ERm the picture on the front was prettr
Disadvantages: The whole book

REBECCA?S TALE Sally Beauman. "Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again." Beauman had the audacity to start her novel with these words, the same words that du Maurier started her classic ?Rebecca? with. I fear that ?Rebecca?s Tale? will never be deemed a classic. The book is set in 1951 and it is the 20th anniversary of the death of Rebecca de Winter. The premise of it is that we learn more about Rebecca and the details of her background as well as that of Max, Jack Favel, Mrs. Danvers, Colonel Julyan and even Manderley As you plough through the 600+ pages you are introduced to Rebecca's hatred and contempt for men, and the reasons why. Also how she had vigilantly selected her lovers, making sure they bore a resemblance to Max, so that should she fall pregnant, the child could easily be passed off as ...

Review of Rebecca's Tale - Sally Beauman

Sally hansen, brilliance in a bottle!

Advantages: dries instantly, beautiful legs, washes off
Disadvantages: bit expensive for the size of the bottle

I agree it makes your legs flawless, no girl should be with out it! I don't always always use it because of the expense of it (when it sold in boots, which it no longer does, it was £10. But you can get in now in superdrug usually for about £7) the bottle isn't tiny but it probably at a push would last 3 applications (i also put it on my arms etc). This is also brilliant for any one who applies normal fake tan, and realises ten minutes before they go out that they've missed a bit/ its streaked. The amount of times a small spray of sally hansen has saved my life! just put a little on and it will blend fine. It is basically what it says on the tin, an instant tanner, like putting on makeup. I am fairly light skinned (not really pale) and i find the 'tan glow' shade makes me VERY orange so i tend to opt for the medium colour (the light ...

Review of Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs

Clayton is Clooney

Advantages: Fine character acting, simple, effective script
Disadvantages: None

of those films and George Clooney gives one of those performances. Michael Clayton is a lawyer, but he's never going to make partner. He's a fixer. He left the muddy waters of litigation years ago and works instead solving problems for the senior partners and their premium clients. At the start of the movie we see Michael leave a back street poker game to take care of some business. An important client has been involved with a hit and run and needs help. the client has been told that Clayton is the best man to help. Clayton tells the client he will call a good lawyer. He tells the client to prepare himself to surrender to the police. The client goes ballistic and Clayton has to explain that he is not a miracle worker. He doesn't carry a gun. He's not quick with his fists. Michael Clayton's weapon is his cell phone. He knows people. He gets ...
