This company, TalkMobile is disgraceful. I’ve had problems throughout the year and I am here to talk about my experience with Talk Mobile. I am from the U.S. that lived in Birmingham, U.K. for one year, from March 2011 to March 2012. I bought a 20 quid a month, one year plan from Car Phone Warehouse in the Bull Ring because it was perfect for the time period I was there and they even threw in a free android to seal the deal. I signed up for Talk Mobile's SIMple Talker sim only plan on the 24th August. It was by far the cheapest 30-day sim contract around, and for just £10 a month it came with 300 minute and 300 texts, a much better deal than any other network can provide. I'll start with the good stuff. Signing up in the Carphone Warehouse was easy and pleasant, I had no problem switching networks and all worked fine. Having spotted Talkmobile's cheap tariffs and found out they use the Vodafone network I thought to myself - 'This seems like a good idea'... AND IT WAS...!!! IF I HAD WANTED TO DEVOLVE AND NOT ACTUALLY HAVE ANY SERVICE ON MY MOBILE....!!!!!!! Five minutes after putting the Talkmobile SIM into my smartfone I discovered I had no data connection or a weak data connection. Signed contract, same day people I called said I was pressing numbers as I talked,went back to carphone warehouse twice they said "nowt wrong wi it mate" so I paid for a phone I could not use for two years.I will not use them again !Tried to cancel contract early on carphone warehouse said its legal and binding you cant get out of it.Called Talk mobile they said call carphone warehouse, so i went back and forth and got no where fast. talk mobile seemed cheap and used Vodaphone so I changed to talkmobile from orange. Then...... They charged extra for voicemail! so I changed to another of their tarrifs... at a cost! they then asked for a £100 deposit for international roaming!- I gave it as i was going on holiday and was desperate. I have never been aslked for this by any other network. They then asked for additional £50 deposit to free up internet browsing.... it would not let me sign an online petition! this would have made a total of £150 deposit help for 6 months.
