Signed up to Talkmobile as they seemed to provide the best deal for my needs, low texting and calls but 500MB data.
Ordered a SIM only as I already had a phone, initially had problems processing my PAC code and each customer service rep said it would be fixed at a certain time but never was so on my 4th call I escalated to a TL and suddenly the SIM started to work except for data despite the automatic download of the settings.
As an experieced user I was confident the setting were all correct and even tried the following networks successfully, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange & O2 on all of these data worked. Customer Services told me to go in the garden and try and then to visit a Carphone warehouse store. I visited the store and they could not get it working and blamed my phone, I asked them to try my SIM in one of their phones and again it did not work, I then tried the shops SIM in my phone and data worked.
In the end the guy in the shop was pretty good but said he had no idea and rang customer services, they had no idea why my SIM could not access data and asked me to leave it for a week to see if it started working. I gave it another day but have now moved off Talkmobile as they seem technically hopeless.
