Manufacturer's product description
The T8024 is the first of new generation of color printers with the speed and workload up until now only seen on Mono Laser printers. Imagine being able to print reports, charts and presentation handouts at the same speed as your mono network printer. Tally brings you this reality, the T8024, a 24 page per minute color printer. PCL6 Emulation will make light work of office applications and for the professional color users an Adobe PostScript 3 option will accurately reproduce colors and all this at an incredible 24 page per minute. The T8024 comes with the paper handling to deliver: duplex comes as standard, long with a multi-purpose feeder and a 500 sheet cassette, which can be further enhanced with the addition of two lower 500 sheet cassettes giving enough paper capacity for any network user. Like all Tally color lasers the T8024 comes complete with its own network interface for simple connection to all Windows operating systems. Apple Mac and Novell can be catered for by the addition of simple network upgrade option. Cost efficiency, compatibility, performance and reliability make the T8024 the only color network printer worth considering.

...materials.
14.8p per page for colour presentation.
24.5p for a full page colour photograph.
The variation in these prices is a result of the greater percentage of ink coverage. Compared to other budget laser printers this is good value per page.
Cartridges are relatively expensive – marginally under £100.00 per consumable. This printer takes four separate cartridges (CMYK) and also has consumables at a similar price connected to the fusing unit. This makes for in excess of £500.00 of consumables in the printer – trust me … you don’t want them all to go at once. The purchase price included a 50% set of cartridges. Although this may sound quite pricey, the figure to examine is the cost per page as this tells you what to expect from a roll.

3: You wish to pay through the nose for parts that fail. (Can you see this happening in any other industry? - "I'm sorry sir, you're car has spontaneously combusted within the warranty period but we estimate that the car should last for five years and consequently you have used 20% of the car's serviceable life … we'll need to make a 50% charge if you want the car replacing!")
4: You wish to start a relationship with a charming printer repair man and don't have the time or money to go through an online dating service.
Believe me when I say the Tally representative is close to having his own office in our workplace.

Advantages: Good quality pictures, reasonably fast Disadvantages: Heavy, bulky and very expensive
...This product was my first purchase of a colourlaser printer, which was bought for my office at work. The price was £899. Not the cheapest but I was assured by the supplier that the quality was very good.
Indeed the quality is good. I'm very impressed by the high standard of prints, both colour and mono. It performs particularly well on photographs, which are reproduced in excellent quality with an almost glossy finish.
The printer comes with 64Mb of onboard memory as standard, which is perfect it would seem. The printer is certainly fast, whipping out colour prints fairly quickly.
Sadly, despite its speed and quality, this printer has some fairly big disadvantages. Firstly there is no auto duplex, which costs extra. The printer also seems to struggle with all but plain copier paper, which is a pity when you want colour pics...
