Advantages: Purchase price, total cost of ownership, quality Disadvantages: Paper jams
.... There are only a few colour laser printers at a similar price and most are significantly more expensive. I have seen it available on line recently for as little as £535.00 but most suppliers offer it at around the £600.00 mark at the moment.
One of the most significant costs for small to medium enterprises is the total cost of ownership. This is a speculative figure arrived at that takes into account the purchase price, consumables, expected life span and anticipated repair and maintenance costs. Our Tally was purchased primarily because the independent reports of the budget colour laser market suggested this printer had quite considerably lower total cost of ownership than other similar printers. The costs per page are listed as:

Advantages: Attractive, quiet, very fast Disadvantages: Expensive, unreliable, ridiculous pricing structure for consumables that fail
...and then charges you a proportion of that for the new drum.
Now, so far this all sounds fair. If say, the drum failed and it was half way through its expected life then perhaps I should be expected to pay maybe half of the cost of the new drum. However, it doesn't work like this. Firstly Tally make low estimates of the life of these parts and then, when they discover that the drum has served 50% of its life, they charge you 80% of the cost of the new drum. Where, I ask, is the justice in this policy?
This is true of a range of parts, including toner cartridges which can also fail with a spectacular noise and then cost you to replace ink you haven't even used.
In short, you should purchase this printer only of all of the below is true for you:
1: You work for an organisation that requires a workgroup printer.
2: You have at least £500 spare...

Advantages: Quick reliable dot matrix printer Disadvantages: Just remember it is a dot matrix
...concerns with the printer are as follows, Windows support - tends to push the printer into graphics mode which slows it down - no problem with our package! and also the rise of cheap lasers and laser printed stationary.
This is not a long review as there is not really a lot to say.
Noise level is not too bad - foam lined inside but you still won't want to sit next to one on a long run of delivery notes....
