Manufacturer's product description
The T5023 24-pin flatbed printer prints at a highly capable 230 cps, dispensing with DIN letters in just 14 seconds, and passbooks in a mere 5 seconds. Its print speed, rich specification and ability to handle diverse media types make it an extremely versatile printer. The T5023 possesses an excellent range of fonts, character sets and emulations, and has an optional memory expansion, supporting an electronic journal or providing extra character set storage space. Fitted as standard with an RS-232 serial interface, the T5023 is capable of being integrated into most IT systems environments though a series of interfaces options, including Centronics parallel, Ethernet and B-Loop. "Printer sharing" is possible with the installation of an optional second RS-232 interface. The T5023 handles a wide variety of media with confidence. The printer's document insertion tray and flatbed design provide a straight, horizontal paper path, allowing it to handle difficult media types such as thick multi-part paper, card, and passbooks. A4 sheets can be processed either via manual insertion, or automatically on an upgraded version of the printer which comes with an Automatic Sheet Feeder installed as standard. All media is automatically aligned, ensuring the correct positioning prior to printing. In the rare event of a paper jam, the easy access top cover provides direct access to the paper path. Fitted with advanced Automatic Gap Adjustment and Automatic Paper Alignment features, the T5023 places few demands on the user, providing instead simple operation.

Advantages: Good Price, Excellent Spec, Restore Cd's supplied Disadvantages: Brand Name, Generic Range Manual
...I purchased my Topnote H Laptop, in December 2000, and have found it a reliable laptop, and extremely good value for money. I paid just under £1000 including vat, and received a laptop featuring a Celeron 600MHz processor,Active Matrix TFT screen,64mb RAM, CD-ROM Drive, 1.44mb Floppy, Touchpad 'mouse', 56K modem, 10/100 RJ45 Network Card, USB as well as standard printer/serial/ps2/vga monitor ports.
If you had compared this with the other laptops available on the high street at the time, you would have seen that the price / specification / performance would have been hard to beat.
The manufacturer of these laptops, is supposedly the largest laptop manufacturer in the world, so this model is found rebadged around the world. It was (is?) available from Staples stores....

Advantages: good laptop Disadvantages: the 3 in one memory card reader?
...of memory and just something to last them through college, university or just someone who wants a good laptop.
It features AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TK-53 / 1.7 Ghz processor, and has a 1 gb of ram installed. However like with a lot of dells this can be upgraded to a maximum of 2 gb, which is great if you do need a lot more memory on your laptop.
The minimum for most laptops seems to be a 80 gb hard drive. However this dell has a great 120 gb Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm hard drive built in. its great to see dell has gone a bit further for their customers and instead of just giving them a basic 80gb hard drive have given them a 120 gb hard drive instead.
This dell has a 3 in 1 card reader, which is a good thing to have, however most laptops now have 5 in 1 and some even are beginning to have 7 in 1 card readers, so the fact...
