In the typical Anne Rice style, this book is a page turner. Once I started it, it was hard to put it down. This book follows The Mayfair Witches and Lasher. I read it first and was a bit confused as to the story line, but as I got into the book, it made little difference that I hadn't read the other two before it. Disadvantages: Husband in want, kids hungry and no housewok done! I couldn't put it down!

Another quality book from Anne Rice, yet again she throws you into a world of good and evil-and doesn't let you out. It is hard to believe that this is a fictional work and at many points you will be thinking- struthe this really could be true! Creating the Vampire Chronicles was exceptional but the Mayfair witches take a lot of living upto by other authors, no spinning vortexes or broomsticks, just power and drama that will have you biting your ...
