Advantages: Large space, nice appearance, affordability, fast performance, pretty design... Disadvantages: No extra goodies or bundled software!
speed - 14MB/s
Random read speed - 18MB/s
Sequential read speed - 18MB/s
If you don't know what these values mean, just take it that this is a pretty fast drive. I could manage to write 5GB of data in 12mins (avg. rate - 6.6MB/s). So, I guess that should explain.
Extra goodies - 2/10
Except for the fact that this comes with USB 2.0 and Vista compatability, there is absolutely NOTHING WHATSOEVER that Kingston blesses you with. Let alone a bundled software, you don't even get a lanyard/neckstrap with this thing! That's cruel!
It would have been great if it was at least U3 smart. But, nonetheless, worry not flash drive owner! There are tonnes of portable softtwares that you can install and access from your USB drive.

Advantages: Universally accepted MAC or PC, Small Size but Massive Capacity Disadvantages: Only Comes In White!!
I have searched for a decent USB pen drive, which not only works well with both my Mac and Windows computers, and after a few disappointing Ebay buys I found the Kingston Data Traveller. At prices from £10 for a massive 1GB drive this has to be the bargain pen drive for every student or office worker out there.
To start with it is simple plug and play with both Mac and Windows makes this drive so easy to use. Just plug it into your USB drive (both USB 1.0 and 2.0) and the drive instantly starts working, no drivers or downloads needed. It comes in many capacitys but i choose the 1GB version. Although actual size is just under a GB (as with all flash drives) it is still a huge amount of data. If all you need to transfer is documents then this will never ever fill up!
The best aspect of this pen drive however is it easily works with both ...
Advantages: Looks great and very cheap Disadvantages: Slow transfer rate and 'sticking' cap
This USB memory stick is definately a good purchase. I bought mine from amzon in autumn 2006 for £19 from amazon. This was a bargain, but now they have dropped below £10, so are definately a bargain for anybody. The stick is small in size and has an attractive green design, with a matching green LED status light. The 2GB (actually 1.86GB) memory provides ample storage space. There is also an attractive metal faceplate on the reverse side. The package includes a small string to attach to a key chain, although no lanyard or keychain.
In terms of hardware performance the USB stick is very reliable and consistent. However, it has a consistently low transfer speed that mirrors the low price. To copy a single 700MB movie took four minutes, when compared to 90 seconds with my old Kngston memory stick. I also found that the cap can ...
