Advantages: Unreleased tracks Disadvantages: Price, some 're-mixing'
As you may have already guessed, this is a ?best of? album. As Tangerine Dream have been around for the past 40 years, you don?t need to be a fan to know there are lots of these compilation albums around ? some good, some so bad you feel embarrassed to look at the cover let alone play it. ?Tangents? is certainly one of the best.
The tracks are from a wide range of studio and sound track albums; some classic ones like Ricochet, White Eagle and Exit, to some quite rare and difficult to find tracks (Wavelength and Flashpoint). Disk 5 contains a lot of previously unreleased tracks, which makes a very useful added bonus, and makes the price worthwhile.

I found the subject matter of this book fascinating. The parallel between the press reaction and speculation to the Road Hill murder and the recent disappearance of Madeleine Mccann is striking. I am giving this book four stars because it really interested me and I feel I've learnt new things from reading it. I particularly enjoyed the first few chapters. They provide you with loads of information about the characters, setting and events surrounding the murder. I was captivated and couldn't wait to read on and have a go at being a detective myself. However, after the arrival of Mr Whicher in the book I feel my interest deteriorated, as we are almost immediately informed of the who the murderer is (or who Whicher suspects so clearly the true culprit) and the novel becomes a collection of tangents surrounding it that I didn't really care ...
