Tannoy Arena

Advantages: Compact size and astounding looks with excellent quality
Disadvantages: None, unless the envy of friends counts!

Hi, This is a great product for those with a small to medium room who want a great surround experience without compromising Hi-Fi Stereo use too. The subwoofer is one of very few I have heard which is able to truely blend with and complement the main speakers. (Most subs at this price point just shout 'HEY I'M A REALLY CHEAP SPEAKER AND I'M OVER HERE'!!) The build quality is just astounding, especially the Bronze finish. The floor stands (optional ...
...sound. They really deserve to be partnered with a top quality amp (something with a true stereo mode to really get the best out of them). I used to work in a high end Hi-Fi shop so have heard way more expensive sytems that didn't sound close to as good as these. People could never quite believe what they were listening to. Advantages: Excellent value for money, great sound.
Disadvantages: Some will miss HDMI but see review on this subject.

...believed them to make the best LCD TV's. But not by this margin - it really was night & day. So I started to look around for what the source was and how it was connected. The picture was coming from a streaming media player (unlikely to be the source of the difference) but they were all connected by good quality component video cables. Eureka! All the inferior picture sets were using HDMI. Hardly an empiracle result but worthy of further investigation, me feels). Oh, I digress again. My fingers are over active today! Back to the Cambridge. It really deserves some good (or better) speakers, and yet again I suggest the Tannoy Arena System. This is the combination I have heard the Cambridge with for many hours and it sounds great, never fatiguing, always more than pleasant. When the amp is switched into its stereo mode it really comes alive... Read review
