Advantages: Awsome, rich and deitailed sound Disadvantages: Not the best lookers.
I recently decided to buy my first separates system and after some heavy research (and a limited budget) I chose these speakers to go with my amp. the last pair of speakers I had were some eltax concept minis for my micro system and I was impressed with them. but after hearing these Its a whole different league of sound quality even my wife was couldn't help but comment how much better they sounded.
There not the best or the worst looking ... ...well built. they have solid gold plated brass binding posts at the back, I'm not sure if you can put banana plugs in yet but i will find out in good time and incidentally there is a corner sticker on the back boasting of its audiophile credentials.
They are rated at 50 watts at 8ohms but according to the manual it has the capacity to go up to 100w if they have to witch is good as that gives plenty of headroom against damage (hopefully) ... more

There not the best or the worst looking speakers in the world but they do look purposeful and well built. they have solid gold plated brass binding posts at the back, I'm not sure if you can put banana plugs in yet but i will find out in good time and incidentally there is a corner sticker on the back boasting of its audiophile credentials.
They are rated at 50 watts at 8ohms but according to the manual it has the capacity to go up to 100w if they have to witch is good as that gives plenty of headroom against damage (hopefully) and there not to hard to drive at 87db
build quality seams quite good with everything seaming quite tight, the only criticism with the design is that there are no rubber feet , so you will need to improvise with some blue tack to keep the speakers fixed down and minimize any unwanted vibrations
The sound is awesome with a very clear and distinct treble from the tweeter and the bass can go down very deep, mind you although the bass is quite strong and deep it isn't especially punchy, Its hard for me to comment on the mid range as I have an old sony amp witch i don't think can quite do the speaker justice, but I'm quite please with what i`ve heard and it is very good at vocals but any other criticisms I have are best left until I get a better amp.
the delivery is quite energetic without been forceful or to keen, and It also treats more mellow music with respect.
All in all im quite pleased and I cant wait to see what it can really do in the future
