The TannoyReveal Actives come in at around £359. Believe me I've been to every single site to find the cheapest price and they all more or less (+-10%) fizzle off at that price. Tannoy Arena.
These speakers are an amazing piece of tech, which can make a beautiful edition to your living room.
Sound.
I can?t fault these speakers for sound. They produce a meaty sound which makes explosions roar and are detailed enough so that you can pick out every crunch and chime from the shattering of glass. Music sounds bright and has depth. The bass box can be adjusted and its big sound blends with the other speakers. The Tannoys are loud enough to easily fill your room with sound or even have you pinned to the back wall. These speakers never sound small or weak.
Looks and tactility.

The Tannoy REVEAL 6D monitors are ideal for stereo monitoring applications, or as part of an active surround system. The Tannoy Reveal 6D monitor employs wide band design, its 1 inch tweeter delivers the correct phase response, preserving the harmonic structure of sounds and the stability of the stereo image. The 6 D has one 6 inch multi-fiber low-frequency driver that punches out clean bass tones. A set of DIP switches on the rear control panel of the Tannoy Reveal 6D allows the selection of an optimum speaker response for real life and often difficult monitoring situations so that the frequency response at the listeners ears is always as linear and flat as possible. Tannoy Reveal 6D monitors can therefore be optimised for varying listening distances in difficult acoustic spaces; varying meter bridge positions, against and adjacent to walls or reflecting surfaces, in corners, in corners on shelves or brackets, table top / space restricted PC/Mac based sound editing environments and stand mounted or soffit mounted configurations. The Tannoy Reveal 6D monitors are ready to integrate with your analog or digital production environment, with XLR and 1/4 inch jack Combi connectors for balanced inputs, RCA input for SPDIF with 75 Ohm terminating impedance and a 2nd RCA for SPDIF output for slaving a stereo pair. When in the digital domain, a 3-way switch selects which channel of the SPDIF stream is decoded, marked Left/Right/Mono.
