...I have used Dell Inspiron 1545 for a couple of months. I'm glad I made right decision. My friend who works in computer filed suggested me this one after asking me my demand for a laptop. First , I would like to say , it can totally meet all requirements I expected from a good laptop. I use it to write articles especially for my blog, to send and receive emails, to talk on MSN and Skype with my family and friends abroad. It never let me down. I also used it to watch TV including the programs on BBC Iplayer. Compared to my desk computer, I can feel the speed on my laptop was faster and the stability of the network was better. Second, it has nice overall design. Slim, Simple and sleek. You have three colors to choose . I chose the black one that matches from outside to inside. Advantages: cheap laptop
Disadvantages: after a few months of use it feels loike a disposable laptop

...i bought this laptop at christmas and it has been rather good for the money i paid for it. the only downside was that it crashed about 3 times in the last 5 months. vista slows the computer down and i would recommend using xp. overall for the price of the laptop you are getting a reasonable value for money. if you have a bigger budget i would recommend buying a mac. these are good investments and that going to be my next laptop. the build quality is reasonable, but as i previously said it still feels like a laptop that may not stand up to another six months of use. i use it on a regular basis for my studies and its just about does a good job. one downside is the internet cable connection and the power connection. these have to be used carefully because they loose connection easily.... Disadvantages: battery broken within a year

...This laptop is really good. however I have owned mine for just under a year now and the battery has broken so I need to get it fixed which is very annoying. Apart from the battery breaking I think that the laptop is great and I would buy a Dell laptop again. I use my laptop everyday but i would have expected the batttery to last longer, especially seeing as it is dell. Now I have the hassel of getting the battery fixed. I would still reccomend this dell laptop to other people as it is good value for money and looks nice etc and apart from the battery the laptop is easy to use and I haven't had any other problems with it. Dell is usually a reliable service and hopefully it wont be too bad having to get the battery fix, if not then I can buy a new battery.... Read review
