Private Practice is an American drama show shown in England on Living TV on Thursday nights. It?s a spin off from the very popular medical drama Grey?s Anatomy. It is now in its second season.
The show revolves around Dr Addison Forbes Montgomery. If you watch Grey?s Anatomy you will know that she is the ex-wife of Derek Shepherd who worked at Seattle Grace hospital with him and Meredith for a time. She is one of the top neonatal surgeons in the country and when she is offered a job by her old friend Naomi she moves out to California to begin working at a health clinic in Santa Monica. The show thus follows her move to the clinic and the new environment she finds herself in.
When this show first started I have to admit that I didn?t really love it. I love the energy of Grey ...

Advantages: Great storylines, brilliant cast, enjoyable telly Disadvantages: Nne
I am quite a fan of American hospital dramas, in fact I rather like American shows in general because the standard of programming is very high, and always very enjoyable. So far as medical dramas go, E.R. is my ultimate favourite, but I have also become a fan of Grey's Anatomy over the past few years. When I heard that they were making a spin-off from that with one of my favourite 'Grey's' characters, I knew it'd be something I want to watch.
Private Practice follows Addison Montgomery's move from Seattle Grace Hospital over to California after a disastrous few years on Grey's. Addison had an affair with Derek's best friend and their marriage fell apart, resulting in tough working conditions for Addison. She goes to visit her friends clinic in LA and eventually accepts a job there, moving away from Grey's Anatomy over to LA ...
