Advantages Cheap rates
Disadvantages None that I am aware of
I thought my original insurance company were cheap, but these guys beat that by over £100.
I was told about them by my friend who is also a customer. He said they gave him a good quote, but I didn't expect the difference to be so great. So far, I haven't had any accidents (touch the proverbial piece of wood) so can't give an opinion on how the service is from that point of view! However, the documents came through promptly, and the person on the phonme was very helpful. I will be upgrading to a new car soon, so will update the opinion based upon the new quote I receive.
*Update* 30/01/01OK, so they were cheap for the Fiesta... They aren't for my Puma. They want a further £150 to insure me until start of June!!! They said something about it being a 'capped' insurance! This means young drivers like myself are overcharged for nice cars!!
Anyway, apart from that, I would still recommend them if you have a run of the mill car like a Fiesta!

Changing insurers mid-term can be a costly exercise as you are subject to their cancellation terms, which are weighed heavily in favour of the insurance companies. Also, you lose the no claims bonus for the year in question if you cancel and change insurers. What was the premium for a year from June on your new car? I bet had you asked them, it would have been competitive, as was your quote on the Fiesta. They were actually offering you excellent advice, I think.
