Working in my local Bodycare shop means I have loads of cosmetics at my fingertips now and shopping is now made easy for me. Although I don’t get staff discount I have found myself picking up more and more products just because I work there and I don’t have to make a special trip into town for them!
After unloading the delivery the other day I got the chance to see what new products came in, before they went on the shelves. This is how I came across this product.
This product comes in a clear plastic, hexagonal bottle. It has a silver lid, which is square in shape with a big silver ball on the top.
On one side of the bottle there is the name of the product and then the rest of the bottle is free from information. There are no labels or stickers and so there are no ingredients or directions of use.
Attached to the lid, on the inside, is the wand that is used to apply this product. It is white in colour and sits inside the bottle reaching to just above the base. The applicator
is a white sponge that is slightly angled for the shape of your lips.
You are able to see the product inside, as the bottle is clear plastic. The lip-gloss in clear in colour and you can see the applicator sat inside the bottle as well.
Once you unscrew the lid and remove the applicator you are made aware of the fact that the lip-gloss looks kind of gel like. It is of thick consistency but it is smooth in appearance. The lip-gloss is that thick that you can actually turn the bottle upside down with the lid removed and it will not come out!
There are little air pockets inside the bottle that shift around when the applicator is removed and then put back inside.

When I first got this product home and realised how thick it was, I thought that there was no way you would be able to apply this product effectively. I am happy to say that I was wrong!
When you remove the applicator there seems to be just the right amount on it, for application. This is due to a plastic valve being attached to the top of the bottle. This helps to control the amount that is dispensed in any one time.
The lip-gloss sits nicely and smoothly on the applicator making it easy to run it over your lips. It does not drag or pull, it simply glides effortlessly over, providing a good even coverage.
Once this product has been applied it shines really well. It has no colour, other than clear, but it provides a good shine and gloss effect.
It smoothes over your lips easily and seems to sit in place without sliding. It doesn’t run and it doesn’t feel tacky. It is smooth and that makes easy to rub your lips together, with out them sticking together.
I have found that this is a long lasting product. I can apply this to my bare lips and it will continue to make them look glossy for at least a couple of hours, before I feel it needs a top up.
I have also used this product over lipstick, to add gloss if my lipstick is of matt finish. It works well like this but it will remove some of the colour on application. Even though it does remove some of the colour it seems to enhance the colour as it really makes it shine.
I have found that it seems to make my lipstick last longer as well, as it locks it in place. I don’t normally reapply the lipstick, just the lip-gloss.
I bought this product from Bodycare for 99p. It is also available in Wilkinson’s for £1.99 and Superdrug for £1.29.
I cannot tell you the amount that you get, as it does not tell you on the bottle. All I can tell you is the bottle is about 4 inches in height, without the lid! The lip-gloss completely fills the bottle and because it is thick and not runny, it appears to be compacted in, really tightly.
After recently trying and writing about a Rimmel lip gloss that I found to be sticky, tacky and of poor taste, this is an excellent product.
I have found it to be everything that the Rimmel one wasn’t! It is clear, of high gloss and has no foul taste to it. It is not sticky which means that you hair will not stick to your lips if you go out with your hair down, and it is long lasting.
For the money that I paid for this product I am very happy with it. I use it every day, just to add shine to my lips, to make them more appealing. I hardly ever wear lipstick anymore and if and when I do, this is applied over the top.
It is easy and light to wear and is suitable for every day wear.

An ideal product to be kept in the bottom of your handbag, for when a quick fix is all that is needed. Being clear in colour means it doesn’t matter if you go slightly over your lips either, no one will notice! A mirror is not needed.
I have knocked one star off for the lack of information on the packaging.
