...For those of you who don’t already know this let me share something with you. I’m a music lover; a slave to those little silver disks of loveliness that are CD’s, each and every one that gets into my house is well looked after and cared for. So it naturally follows that my hi-fi system has to be top-notch; I don’t just love my music, it HAS to sound the best it possibly can. Three years ago my old Technics separates system was starting to look a little jaded, the cassette deck had given up the ghost and it was time to relegate it to the bedroom. The hunt was on for a replacement but I was very specific when it came to this new purchase. As my old system had given such first rate and long standing performance I was keen and eager to buy another by the same manufacturer. One quick trip into John Lewis and the deed was indeed done... Advantages: Build quality.

...This is yet another update to the industry standard direct drive Technics SL1200 turntable. To be honest, this is not massively different to the M3 edition, the most noticeable difference is the white LED light and the anti-skate control (which I never adjust anyway). As with all Technics, this plays records at either 33 or 45 rpm and you have the option to select the speed between -8% and +8%. This turntable also has the 'pitch reset' button which, if pressed, ignores the pitch selected on the fader and plays the record as if at 0%. A nice feature, although I hardly use it. Putting the cartridge and stylus together was a tricky job but these things always are. After doing a fair few over the years I can do it fairly quickly but newcomers should always read the instructions very carefully before attempting it. This is a great looking... Read review

...Well .. my neighbour gave me his SU7300 for free , it was sitting in his utillityroom under a pile of dust togeher with an Akai AT2400 tuner and a Realistic Equalizer ..., he said can u do something with that old stuff , then take it otherwise i bring it to the scrapyard.... So it was gratefull , immediatly started to clean them up , get all the dust out and tryed them on een pair of old Leak spekers ..... i'm very surprised how it sounds ... now ive connected an 60's turntable (thorens) onto it ... magnificent ! I must say im a bit of an audiophiler .. my mainset is Lyngdorf , i biamp on nice selfbuid speakers with Tannoy DC units , and that 's something else , but the old technics does great for my hobbyroom , were i shall use it often to test some selfbuid speakers or rebuid turntables ......
