TeckNet are an online company who specialise in MP3/Mp4 players and they do have quite and extensive range for very reasonable prices. The quality is good although to be fair for the price you are paying for some of the items you are not seriously going to expect top of the range plastics and other components. Having said this they are sturdy and do do the job they were intended to do.

The first thing I am going to mention is the manual which is translated from Chinese and not very well at that. You almost need a degree in Chinese to understand a word. Even reading the power on paragraph took me ages to decipher, to eventually come to the conclusion which paragraph it was. This can be remedied easily by a visit to TeckNet online where you can download a more understandable version of the annual.
The V70 is a very nice looking little unit which ressembles an iPod Nano in many ways. It has a built in FM radio which uses the headphones as an antenna, you can save your favourite channels if you figure out how to from the manual. Failing this it will store the last channel played. Reception is pretty good provided you are not encased in a metal room. All functions are accessible from the onscreen menu which is picture orientated and really easy to use. The screen is 1.8 inches in diameter and a reasonable size for your outlay of £15.99 from Amazon.co.uk who seem to be the main supplier of TeckNet goods.
Apart from the radio the player plays standard MP3 files and Mp4 video files, a converter is supplied on the driver CD which is required if you are running Windows 98 or previous. The files a transported onto the units 1Gb flash memory from the supplied USB cable. The unit is recognised as a storage device and therefore the best method of transference is by the old drag and drop method. Using the supplied converter you can get 2 movies and about 50 songs on the flash memory. Once on they can be easily deleted using the method described in the new easy to read downloaded manual.
The supplied earpiece is not the best of quality but does provide a respectable sound which will be pretty good for the average listener. There are 7 modes of play from normal to shuffle all of which again can be accessed from the simple menu system. The video quality for a 1.8 inch screen is surprisingly very good providing you have decent eyesight for the smaller details, credits can be very hard to read but the basic movie is clear and the sound pretty good. It takes about 5 minutes to convert a Divx movie and slightly less for a normal avi movie. The unit will not play files of a movie type unless they have been put through the converter, since the unit is of Chinese origin so is the software and the converter sorts this problem.
The MP3 player also has a handy voice recorder which can record a good length of recording depending on the free memory available, the quality is adjustable via the menu system, but again is surprisingly good for the price. If you want you can also store you photos and display them through the picture show part of the menu system, again the quality is good but your eyesight needs to be quite good too. The unit will also act as a data storage device so you can use it to save or transport these important files. Basic E book is also available but the words at then end of the lines tend to be split making it quite difficult to understand sometimes although the text quality is great.
All in all it's a pretty neat little unit considering it is only £15.99, it does what it says and it does do it quite well.
Advantages: great sound, nice look, easy to use, great price Disadvantages: none i can find yet
...The name of it is TeckNet V70 1.8" Screen 1G MP4/MP3 Player With 1.8" LCD Screen and Build in FM, we purchased both of them one white and one black with an extra set of earphones from www.amazon.co.uk for the amazing price of £52.95 this included the shipping of £11.97 so I think that this is remarkably cheap for what we received. The order came through within 3 days of payment so I can recommend the delivery times of Amazon. I have regularly used ... ...in delivery. Advantages: petite, and stores loads Disadvantages: first initial payment
TeckNet V70 mp3/4 player. Sounds technical, well it is. Technical to put you off buying as you don't understand the product.
Well in my opinion what is to understand, since the release of mp3/mp4 players, technology has advanced, and also saved us customers a lot of hassle within the music industry.
This product allows us to download as much music as we can possibly think of and keep it there, organise into albums, for easy use, instead of carrying ... ...us a quality of sound never had before, clearly precise, and adjustable through bass, and treble bass. Video's for a long journey, as well as films. Definitely a winner for kids on a long car journeys.
Music is now easier to buy via internet, or downloading sites. No rushing off to the shops to get the latest hits.
The lock at the top of this device also helps save the battery power, but who needs to save it with eight to ten hours of battery power.
