Today is my Birthday; yep I’m another older, Wiser? Probably to some degree but sometimes I feel the same as I did 10-15 years ago and am often told by my children to behave. Not today though as it’s my birthday and the rule in our house is that if it’s your birthday (unless being very obnoxious or naughty!!) then your not allowed to be told off!!
When my darling hubby asked me I wanted this year I gave the same yearly answer JEWELLRY!!!! I love jewellery and as I am allergic to anything under 9ct gold I need plenty so I can change my jewellery to accessorize (that is my excuse and I am sticking to it!) but this year I also asked for a mp3 player as I want to going out walking with Sam to get fit and to try and build up Sam’s immunity a bit and I found a little bit of music speeds up my walking pace…
My husband excelled himself and bought me a very funky looking mp3/4 player. It’s about 5 inches in length, 2cms depth and roughly 2inches wide so you can probably tell it’s very slim line an small, ideal for tucking away discreetly anywhere. Mine is white in colour but it does also come in black (hubby also has one for fathers day will explain more after!).
The name of it is TeckNet V70 1.8" Screen 1G MP4/MP3 Player With 1.8" LCD Screen and Build in FM, we purchased both of them one white and one black with an extra set of earphones from www.amazon.co.uk for the amazing price of £52.95 this included the shipping
of £11.97 so I think that this is remarkably cheap for what we received. The order came through within 3 days of payment so I can recommend the delivery times of Amazon. I have regularly used them and have always found them to be very quick in delivery. One word of warning though check your email because on them it warns if stock is limited and how long it will take to be delivered.

Now I am really not a techie person, all I want to know is how easy is it to use, how good is the sound and is it value for money. Let me tell you what I have found out so far.
Easy to Use:
Yes it is incredibly to use, to download music onto it or photos for that matter just plug in the USB lead to both mp3/4 and computer and drag over items wanted or if you are lazy like me I just right click and send them to whatever drive (mines f drive!) your device comes under. So far I have around 30 songs on it and that took me about 5 minutes to do. Everything is navigated with a round push dial similar in looks to an Ipod design. It has M for menu from this you can choose music, amv, record, voice, fm, photo, setup, and e-book. You also have an EQ menu which has the options of Natural, Rock, pop, classical, soft, jazz and DBB. There is also a function for lyrics too, which means that if the mp3 you have downloaded has lyrics within it you can see them on the little LCD screen as it’s playing. Funky or what, mind you I would have to point out that I would personally not be sitting there reading the lyrics however my 10 year old daughter who sings everything loves this function!! The recording function has several types fine rec, long rec, fine VOR and long VOR. There’s also a language setting, power saving function, replay setting, sleeping mode (handy for me as sometimes I need music to unwind to go to sleep and don’t want to use up all the battery time), a contrast setting and online mode. There does seem like a lot of things that seem complicated but for me I have found it simple and easy to listen to music as this is what I want it for.
Sound Quality:
The sound on this is very good, quite a good base on it, you know how some mp3’s can be tinny sounding well not this little baby. Also if you want to blow your eardrums out this is machine for it, its volume goes up to 31 and believe me when I say this is loud!!! I found 24 very comfortable for me even with background noise going on.
Value for Money:
I would have to say excellent on this score as you are getting lots of uses for one good price. It looks good, sounds good and doesn’t cost the earth. Did I say it’s rechargeable, No well it is which again I like user friendly and all that. I would like to point out that I am using the ‘extra’ earphones at the minute and have not tried the regular ones that are included with the mp3/4 player. These are excellent by the way when I find the packaging (somewhere under bed after kids helped me unwrap them this morning at 6am!!) I will edit this review to include some info on them as they really are very comfortable and good quality.
I hope this isn’t too jumbled or confusing to read, as I got confused reading all the jargon in the user manual whilst writing this!! Just remember at the end of the day you turn it on at the little switch on the top press play and listen, 1 2 3 easy peasy!!!
UPDATE*********** I thought this might be handy to know and that is my husband charged the mp3/4 player for a couple of hours prior to me receiving it, I have used it for more than 10 hours in all and the battery has run out now. So it's very good on charge to usage ratio too!!!
