~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Why Did I Buy This Perfume? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am a little bit of a perfume addict and I love treating myself to a new fragrance every now and again. Me and Hubby were in Hamilton last week getting some more christmas shopping in, because we had some extra cash I decided to go into Boots and have a look at their perfumes so as I could treat myself to a new one.
I didn't just want to buy a bottle of perfume, I wanted to buy a perfume gift set so as I could have the moisturiser and/or shower gel to compliment the new fragrance I purchased.
In Boots they had lots of gift sets laid out accross their fragrance counter all at different prices and with different things with them. I was looking at the different perfumes for about 10 minutes when I came across the Ted Baker W gift set. This gift set really stuck out from all the others because you got a good sized 75ml bottle of perfume, a 250 ml bottle of shower gel and a box of bath bombs all for £27.
I thought this was great value for money because alot of 75ml bottles of perfume cost in the region of £30 and with this gift set you were getting three things for the price I would usually pay for just a single bottle of perfume.
The only thing I thought was strange about the perfume gift set was the name of it as it was a very plain name. But I researched the internet and found out that the W stands for Woman. There is also a mens aftershave by Ted Baker called M which, you guessed it stands for man lol. ~~~~~~~~~~~ The Scent ~~~~~~~~~~~ Ted Baker W has a really lovely sweet scent which lasts for about 6 or 7 hours and doesnt fade away quickly like most perfumes I have had in the past. I think that this perfume is a really modern sophisticated fragrance which can be worn as an every day perfume as well as for special occasions.
This perfume has blends of lush wet fig leaf accord, white peony, African violet, pink orchid, cassis, raspberry, cedar and vanilla. Although you cant really smell the vanilla through the fragrance.
You can really smell the orchids, violet and a subtle hint of respberry through the fragrance and I think it is the resberry which gives this scent the lovely sweet smell.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Packaging ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THE BOX ----------------- The packaging is really plain. The perfume and accessories are packed inside a rectangular shaped box which has a clear plastic lid. The perfume, shower gel and bath bombs are snugly placed inside clear plastic which keeps them secure and reduces the risk of damage to your purchase.
The box is pink in colour and has Ted Baker London written in white on the top of the box. At the bottom of the box No Ordinary Designer Fragrance is also written in white lettering.
------------------- PERFUME ------------------- The bottle of perfume is a rather odd shape and is fairly heavy in weight. The bottle and lid are both made of clear see through glass and are a symetrical triangular shape, I thought this was quite odd as I have never seen a triangular bottle of perfume before, but it is really nice.
The perfume is an Eau De Toilette and is a 75 ml size.
The perfume inside the bottle is a bright rose pink colour and is really feminine looking.
The lid which is on the bottle of perfume is really hard to get off, you have to pull and twist it at the same time until it clicks off the bottle.
The perfume has a silver metallic spray pump which dispenses a generous spray of the scent.
Ted Baker London is written at the top of the perfume bottle in white lettering and at the bottom of the bottle W eau de toilette is also written in the same white lettering as used on the top of the bottle.
-------------------- SHOWER GEL --------------------
The bottle of shower gel is a tall thin rectangular shape and has 250 ml of shower gel inside.
The bottle of shower gel is made of plastic and has a white plastic screw on/off lid. The shower gel is bright pink in colour and is really thick and creamy.
When I used this shower gel I was really surprised at how well it lathered up on application. It left my skin feeling soft and really scented. The shower gel smells really like the perfume but it has a much more delicate fragrance.
------------------- BATH BOMBS ------------------- With this gift et you also get a madium sized pink cardboard box which has 10 bath bombs inside. The bath bombs are a light blue colour and are flat disc shapes which are wrapped seperately in clear plastic celophane. The plastic celophane has Ted Baker W written on it in black lettering.
The bath bombs are used in a similar way to bubble bath, you just drop one of theese in your bath when you are running it, and it will break up and dissolve in the water.
I thought that the bath bombs would have s,elled similar to the perfume and shower gel, but they don't. They have a completely different fragrance which smells so much like johnsons baby powder.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ About Ted Baker ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ted Baker is a well known clothing retailer which was founded in Glasgow in 1988, although they have now started to manufacture perfumes, aftershaves, eye wear and cosmetics.
Ted Baker is now a global brand who have numerous clothing stores throughout the UK, Europe and America.
The Ted Baker range of products and clothing is also sold by other retailers such as John Lewis, Debenhams and House Of Fraser.
Ted Baker products have became so popular over the last couple of years that they have made and manufactured two different mobile phones in the Uk called the Ted Baker Button and Ted Baker Needle, in association with Samsung and HTC.
~~~~~~~~~~ My Opinion ~~~~~~~~~~ I think that this gift set was really worth the £27 I paid for it, because I looked on the internet after i purchased it and found out that a 75 ml bottle of the perfume alone costs £30 which is £ 2 dearer than the whole gift set I bought.
The scent really does last for a long time and you only have to apply a minimal amount of it to benefit from its lovely fragrance.
I think that this perfume would be best suited for younger people and older people if they like light sweet smelling perfumes.
