Having recieved the Ted Baker Skinware gift set for Christmas, I was assured by the buyer i.e. my mother, that a prolonged discussion of fragrances had gone on in Boots prior to her buying it. Apparently, it came well-recommended from two young lads aiding my mother in her purchase and the sales lady, who was also extremely fond of the fragrance. Being aware of the product being an FHM grooming product winner a few years ago and of the two previous opinions on Ciao as well, I was definately expecting an excellent product but in all truth, I was quite dissapointed.
Naturally the first thing to note about Skinware is the packaging and design of the bottle. The gift set comes in a rather drab silver box with the three items neatly packaged inside and the actual Eau de Toilette bottle is also rather drab and mundane to say the least and hardly gets you excited at the prospect of smelling what's inside. The bottle design is like a miny milk bottle with a ribbed and single coloured plastic label wrapped around the bottles centre. The label comes in a variety of different colours, the most popular one seemingly being blue.
The fragrance itself is actually very nice after an initial smell that seems a little cheap and lemony. Once you get used to the smell however, it's extremely pleasant and very refreshing. Made with lime, bergamot and lemon, the citrus feel to the smell is unavoidable but to deliver a more subtle scent, the heart is formed by herbaceous notes of cypress, juniper and rosemary. This gives it a rather warm musky undertone in turn giving the smell a much more pleasant aroma. As you would expect, the fragrance is available as splash on or spray.
As for its occasion, Skinwear certainly seems to be a fragrance that is designed for workwear and general wear because of its extremely sweet and refreshing smell. It's not a fragrance I would consider wearing on a night out but I have had compliments from various women on its aroma. Having said that, the words 'sexy' and 'gorgeous' haven't been uttered as yet (shame too, as always).
My main gripe with this fragrance however is it's lastability. Previous reviews claim that it has a good lasting effect but I have found that the smell seems to disappear rather quickly after spraying it on. I have tried to improve this by spraying on a lot more than another fragrance would require, but with little improvement. I thought that it could have been a duff bottle or that all of a sudden, my nose had become blocked (well, it is winter) but the deodorant spray is pretty much the same. The initial smell just seems to die within about an hour of putting it on. It's a shame too, considering how fond of the smell I seem to be getting.
Finally, if you do decide to purchase this fragrance, the Eau de Toilette retails for about £30-£35 but I've found it cheapest on www.fragrancedirect.co.uk at £25 per 100ml (£1.00 P&P). If you fancy the gift set, it's available at most good stores for about £40 but a similar gift set comprising of a 60ml EDT Spray, a 100ml Skinwear Body Wash and a 50ml Skinwear Moisturiser is avialable through fragrancedirect.co.uk for £18.95 (£1 P&P).
Is it worth the money then? Well, personally I wouldn't buy it again because of it's poor lastability but considering it's good price and very pleasant aroma, you might be pursuaded otherwise. I would suggest you get some more opinions before you make a decision. Good Luck.
...are not too overpowering and Ted Baker SkinWear certainly fits into that category.I would describe the smell as being quite fruity and in particular, lemony, but with warm undertones. I have been informed that this is what is called the *Base Notes*, the scent that remains after the intial smell has gone away. Here are all the notes in all their glory:
Top Notes: Lime, Bergamont, Lemon
Heart Notes: Cypress, juniper, rosemary
Base Notes: Amber, ... ...on the side SKINWEAR and TED BAKER LONDON on the front. The cap is made of brushed aluminium and is a screw cap. There is no spray feature, you simply splash it on, but you only need to use a little bit.
The packaging is quite appealing and modern and I certianly do not feel embarrassed or girly to have a bottle of this in my bathroom cabinet!
Now then, I would never dream of asking my girlfriend how much a present cost (I get a good gage from ...

Advantages: Smells gorgeous Disadvantages: Men suck
...am writing a review of Ted Baker skinwear, which happens to be the aftershave left behind in my single woman bathroom by lying using bastard Pig number three, along with a toothbrush, a coffee mug and a crappy white teddy holding a heart bearing the legend 'I love you'. Yeah, right! Pig's Skinwear came in a gift set comprising a 60ml bottle of eau de toilette, a 100ml tube of body wash and a 50ml tube of moisturiser.
The set came packaged in an ... ...body wash for free.

Advantages: Good lasting smell Disadvantages: packaging and bottle design a let down
This funky little bottled fragrance is rather pleasent. Its not to over powering and has the lasting effect needed for fragrance. It dose not have any fruity smells that can be described about it, but has a rahter more musky smell with the modernish zing of other frangances such as tommy and CK 1. Skinware only comes in one scent, but has different bottles. Either a red or blue plastic sheave that covers the bottle. Worth the money and the smell ...

Why Did I Buy This Perfume?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am a little bit of a perfume addict and I love treating myself to a new fragrance every now and again. Me and Hubby were in Hamilton last week getting some more christmas shopping in, because we had some extra cash I decided to go into Boots and have a look at their perfumes so as I could treat myself to a new one.
I didn't just want to buy a bottle of perfume, I wanted to buy a perfume gift set so as I could have the moisturiser and/or shower gel to compliment the new fragrance I purchased.
In Boots they had lots of gift sets laid out accross their fragrance counter all at different prices and with different things with them. I was looking at the different perfumes for about 10 minutes when I came across the TedBaker W gift set. This gift set ...
Advantages: Nice fragrance, suitable for any time of day wear Disadvantages: Loses a star for packaging!
As anyone who reads my reviews now knows I'm totally addicted to perfumes!
I recently wrote a review detailing how an ex partner of mine was a total metro-man spending most of his 'quality time' browsing in Boots and buying anything and everything and he constantly treated me and surprised me all the time with all sorts of stuff. Hence this review of TedBaker Woman Eau De Toilette.
He'd been to Boots and got himself some aftershave and thought he should treat me as well and bought me the gift set with this in it, shower gel and the body lotion! Not bad eh! lol
What The Product Says About Itself:
As with the TedBaker woman herself, layers of personality make up this fragrance. The overall effect is light, fresh and easy to wear with a lasting impression. Sensational!
The Packaging:
My perfume is the 50ml frosted ...
