Teddy in a box is in fact 6 teddies in a box. Each teddy is a different puzzle made up of 3 pieces. There is a doctor teddy, a policeman teddy, and a farmer teddy amongst this group of puzzles.
Each teddy is divided into 3 ... ...puzzle is to complete a teddy with all the correct clothes. This can be fun as you get teddy wearing half a Drs uniform and half a policeman’s they fit but they do look funny try again lets put the right clothes together.
This puzzle is suitable for 3 years and up as they are beginning to understand that you need a head, arms and legs and which clothes go together.

Teddy Head is one puzzle piece, teddies arms and body another, then teddies legs are another puzzle piece. Each corresponding puzzle pieces the same shape.

I might introduce this puzzle set to children by just giving the child the pieces to one teddy, then mixing up two teddies and letting them make those up correctly.
Teddy in a box puzzles are good for helping children name and recognise body parts. It gets them thinking and looking at things which make them the same.
This toy also helps with hand eye co-coordination something a lot of my children at work need practice with.
Praise your child when they get one right. Help them when they get it wrong, teddy looks silly he has the wrong trousers on, lets find the right trousers.
Teddy in a box, teddy bear puzzles are in a small wooden box they would be easy to putting your bag to take to great aunts who has no toys when you visit. I like these teddies.
An extension that you can make yourself is to stick some magazine pictures of people onto card and cut them up to make your own puzzle.

I noticed the Teddy in a Box / Mini Puzzle Bear (as they call it, still exactly the same) for £1.99 BARGAIN!!
As my kids would be turning one and two just after that christmas, i thought that this would be quite suitable for them. Thinking that it was not much different from their wooden lift out puzzle trays that they already had already mastered and also something a bit more fun and exciting.
But I was slighty wrong ............................. ... ...My box included a teddy bear family, with mummy and daddy and their little kiddies :O) and six different teddies can be made from the components in many combinations.
All the little pieces will fit back neatly inside the box after playing too.
So ....nearly 2 years on and it has been kept at the top of the wardrobe gathering dust , waiting till i think they are ready for it. Besides the size it is a lovely little item and i Imagine that my kids ...

...actual jigsaw.
The teddy jigsaw comes in a small wooden box with a small lid that slides on the top of the box.
On top of the lid there is a teddy bear shape where you can place each jigsaw piece.
The jigsaw pieces are made out of wood so they dont break that easy when children chew on the pieces and if it is like my son then believe me they will chew on them.
There are twelve jigsaw pieces in total which consist of four teddy bear heads,four ... ...does not matter which head you put to which body as all the pieces are the same shape and size so it is really easy for the child to create the teddy.
These jigsaws are really great fun for toddlers as well as educational because it helps with there imagination and motor skills.
My little boy has hous of fun with this jigsaw he is forever changing the outfits on them with the body pieces.

racket as they throw toys at each other, no hour spent refolding my daughters clothes and searching out all her shoes and socks. I have not had to refill their toy box and in fact the teddies I placed on top the box have not been moved since the locks were applied, usually they were added to the mountain of toys in Elsa's cot as Christopher moved them out of the way so he could get into the box.
I also used to regularly find unwanted items in my washing machine, or the clean washing all over the kitchen floor, as they had mastered the art of opening the machine.
