Tefal Avanti Black & Silver 4 Slice Toaster

The thought that went into buying my Avanti toaster was not very long or deep – I saw it on the shelf at Sainsbury’s, reduced by 50% to £19 and popped it into my trolley. It really is most unlike me to make a snap decision based on fancy good looks, and I have always regretted my lack of research. I'm not the kind of person who replaces electrical items unnecessarily, so our toaster has been a fixture in our household for around four or five years now and will continue to be used until it gives up the ghost. This is no mean feat considering that we are a family of five and, between us, make toast on pretty much a daily basis - if not at several points during the day- so this toaster has certainly been put through its paces. ***Background*** This is not the first Tefal Avanti model that I have owned. The first one lasted me over 10 years and was obtained with the help of ABC points with Safeway many years ago. Unlike this model it was only a 2 slice toaster and when it gave up on us about 3 months before our wedding, it was decided to buy a cheap Tesco value model to do us and we put this model on to our wedding list.
