toaster. You can serve several people at a time thanks to its 4 slots. The TT748515 toaster has a reheating and defreezing function as well as a bread crust browning function. The TT748515 toaster transforms your breakfast into real festive occasions. Â

...hour. We've had the Tefal for a few years now so I feel qualified to review it. lasted longer than the cheaper toasters we have owned in the past. It cost a little more than the average cheapo toaster but has better facilities than most and the durability alone makes it a better deal. There are four variable width slots, controlled in pairs, so you can toast 2 or 4 pieces of bread at a time. The controls are simple and cover most options, the main ... ...the slots and activates the heaters.
A solenoid prevents the lever locking in the down position if the toaster is not plugged in. There are buttons for keeping the toast warm (never used by me!) and one for ejecting the toast if it starts to smoke. This can happen, if like me you keep popping the toast out to see how it is getting on. Each time you start it again the timer starts again. If you have finished cooking toast turn the unit around, you ...

Advantages: Good even toasting Disadvantages: Not so good if you like a long slice
...with consistent results.
The Tefal Avanti Deluxe ticked the box for having the four slice option, and the price was bearable. The unknown factor was it’s performance, which I’m happy to report is very good, after 5 months of use. The Oxfam charity bag won’t be seeing this baby for a good while.
The Tefal website lists its features as:
Stylish, 4-slice, white, thick ‘n’ thin toaster
Superwide / super deep slots
Electronic variable browning control
... ...that did not. The Tefal website gives no further explanation, but just says frozen bread takes longer to toast. Again, a small red light is illuminated when the function is selected.
High Lift Mechanism: There are two levers that operate each of the two toasting slots. Pressing this lever will give you additional lift of about an inch – which always good. It allows easier access to your smaller toasted bread products.. Crumb Trays:

Advantages: Super fast toaster, variable controls, cook toast for different tastes at the same time Disadvantages: Not perfect, occasionally need to turn toast over.
...as possible. The Tefal Avanti Deluxe four slice toaster fulfilled all these criteria, and a little more besides, and at £24.99 in Argos it was an absolute bargain that I simply couldn't miss. Colour and design-wise it's very stylish with black and silver tones, and an unusual curved profile, it certainly fits in with the rest of my appliances. As far as cooking with it goes, there are plenty enough options for me to be able to toast almost anything ... ...automatically adjusts to the thickness of whatever I'm toasting, so a teacake or crumpet is held as securely as the thinnest slice of bread. There are two separate browning controls (each with 6 different levels) so two different shades of toast can be cooked at the same time, and the toast cooks exceptionally quickly, far, far quicker than anything I can manage with the grill. One problem I do find is that due to the funky design, there are occasions ...

Advantages: 4 slices, digital display, memory facility Disadvantages: Misses the top of tall bread!
I have had this toaster for a few months - and wow! It is a little on the pricey side when you consider you can buy a cheap one in tescos now for under a tenner but this is definitely worth it. It comes in a chrome finish with 4 angled slots. There is a memory facility on there which means you can program in how you like your toast to be done. Just press the button, slide the bars down and voila! Very handy if different members of your family like ... ...button and a bagel button. If you use the memory facility with these it will automatically adjust the timings to make sure your bagel or crumpet comes out browned to perfection. It also has a crumb catcher underneath. Very handy if you don't want bits of bread all over your worktop. The digital display is big enough and clear enough for most people to be able to see it. The only slight disadvantage is that if you have a long piece of bread to toast ...

With monotonous regularity our toasters ‘die’ every two years. The last one was no different, having ejected 4 slices of toast most mornings for its brief life. If the white goods industry goes for a 5-year cycle of obsolescence by... more
