...My new toaster is a Tefal Avanti chrome model, that sits on my kitchen units attracting admiring glances from the many guests (well, half a dozen or so) that we have had around since moving in. How shall I describe him? Well, my Avanti does not look like any old toaster, oh no. Rather than being a boring rectangular thing, the top is angled to make him into a kind of triangular shape - this means that the bread slots are longer and easier to get ... ...stylish, being chrome and black - although you can also get him in white should you want to. Go to http://www.comet.co.uk/cgibin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/Comet/makelink.d2w/report?productsku=606440 to see a picture of him. On his front, he has levers and controls that are fairly easy to understand (with a little help from the instruction booklet), but as my dad says, he looks like a "Star Trek toaster" with all his technical thingies! When you have finished ...

Advantages: Attractive, high lift, easy browning controls, holds bread firmly Disadvantages: Won't toast a whole slice, alarming blue flash on toast popup
...goods was necessary and the Tefal Avanti looked like it was up to the job.
This is a big toaster with slots that look wider and deeper than the average. It has a futuristic appearance and plenty of buttons and knobs on the front to make it seem that toasting is a complicated task. There's a high lift button for teacakes, crumpets and other things that sit lower in the slot, there's a stop button if you notice smoke emerging and the usual browning ... ...was available at the time of purchase in mirror finish or brushed finish stainless steel with a black trim. With a reduction to £17.99 it looked like a bargain and it was soon in the boot of my car.
Once out of the packaging and in place this toaster looked huge in the kitchen. It's triangular shape and slanted front allows you to see into the bread slots very easily. Ready to toast and we'll try standard white bread. Browning control set low as ...

Advantages: Looks good, Great bun warmer Disadvantages: Your toast won't fit in it
...was immediately drawn to the Tefal Avanti Deluxe Hi-Speed 2 Slice. It was quite large, had plenty of shiny silver twiddly bits, and came in two colours: black or white.
I liked it too, because:
1. It had an unusual shape. Imagine a semi-circle chopped in half and sat on one of its flat edges with the curved edge presented to the world. Nice. Not square.
2. It was large. 21 cm x 18 cm x 26 cm, to be precise. The toast cavities (of which there are ... ...I like medium. The Tefal Avanti would not be phased by this, but would simply adjust its inner grabbers to fit accordingly.
5. It has a hi-speed element, so heats up quicker than your average toaster. And when I want some toast, I want it NOW.
6. The hinged crumb tray is easy to remove. Having once had one that needed a screwdriver, this sounded great.
7. It has a re-heat facility, so you can re-warm your toast if you’ve let it go too cold. Not ...

Advantages: Evenly toasts Disadvantages: Makes a mess
I bought this toaster last year, to go with my new kitchen. It looks good with chrome/black finish.
I normally get a cheaper model, Asda's own, but they only last a few months if you use them every day. i would say don't buy cheap, buy a good toaster like this, that will last with daily family use. This toaster even has a high pop up and even an eject button, for when you've toasted crumpets or bagels etc
Since I have had this toaster, Ive never ... ...to it, and its quite fast and makes good toast, and is a good looker, and very easy to clean.
This toaster has a defrost button and a reheat button, very handy for when the toast is ready before the bacon. the settings on this toaster are very simple to operate, (any man could use it!)
I would say this toaster, may not be as cheap,as some models but its well worth the money i paid.
The only down side is crumbs falling out of the bottom, maybe ...

Advantages: Stylish, Compact, Easy To Use Disadvantages: None
Features:-
Super wide/super deep slots. Electronic variable browning control. High-Lift Mechanism. Cancel function. Re-heat function. Frozen bread setting. Large, hinged crumb tray. Cool touch exterior. We bought the chrome version to match our other appliances & it fits in really well.
You can have you're toast hardly touched or nuked, depending on you're taste & condition of you're teeth.
The frozen bead setting works well, as does the re-heat ... ...option, cooking time and away you go.
Crumbs are easily dealt with, neatly into the nearest bin via the crumb collection tray, a simple hinged door on the underside of the toaster, saves having to clean up all those crumbs, we have only emptied it once in 3 months.
It’s not possible to put you’re toast in, walk away & come back 2 minutes later to find it wasn’t plugged in, due to a neat device that pops the toast straight back ...
