I received this for Christmas and was really pleased. Having a disability means that not having to lift a hot kettle is a plus.
The first one lasted about 3 days and then POP. It stopped heating the water very well and we got a scum on the top. The replacement lasted about 2 days when POP, tripped all the electrics in the house and again water temperature was rubbish. OK bad luck so went on to try a 3rd. Same thing happened mid flow. The POP is quite clear and obvious.
We contacted Tefal this time and they said they do not know of this problem!!!! They were aware of the other issues such as the spluttering and splashing. Yes we had experienced this but the pluses out ways this so we stuck with it.
They encouraged us to try again so we dutifully went on to Number 4. Yes you guessed it. POP and rubbish heat of water.
We are exceedingly disappointed and concerned that we are not the only people experiencing the fault with this product.
Its a fabulous idea and the advantages are great. Just pressing a button to get hot water means no hassle of boiling kettle - forgetting about it and then having to reheat it ect.
Really disappointing.
