My son bought one of these for me a couple of months ago and to begin with it was wonderful. However, we live in a very hard water area so within a couple of weeks we had to descale it. I love the fact that its energy efficient and the hot water is there any time you need it, but for us its now getting to be a bit of a pain having to descale it weekly. My overall opinion of the QuickCup is that it is a very good product in general but not very practical in hard water areas as it does seem a tad sensitive to scale build up. Perhaps it might be ok if we used bottled water but that would probably negate any money we saved by the energy efficiency of it.
