Advantages: Easy to use and clean. Disadvantages: None
...We were looking for a fryer that kept cooking smells to a minimum and one that you could take apart and keep clean. Although the Tefal FR7009 is not the cheapest on the market, it is the best we have come across. Argos originally priced it at £99.99, but reduced it to £79.99. It comes with clear instructions and is very easy to use. Full marks to Tefal for the Automatic Oil Filtration system, which allows the oil to drain away safely in its own container housed in the base of the unit after the cooking has been completed. It takes all the guess work out of how long you need to cook the food and alerts you when the oil needs changing. A great bit of kit....

Advantages: Do not have to keep draining oil after each use Disadvantages: Takes up alot of countertop space
...The Tefal Prissima has been n a life saver for my daily life. Since I do not work and my fiance does, it is sort of a nonspkoken agreement that I would do most of the cooking until I am able to get a job. One of the most important parts of the kitchen for me is to have something to deepfry in. That along with a George Foreman grill. Well since we had nothing to deep fry in I felt out of place, almost did not know how to cook some things without it. Well off I went to Argos, Marks and Spencers and all the other home improvement stores in the area.
After about 2 days of shopping around and comparing the quality and price of each of the deep fryers that I found within my price range I decided upon the Tefal Prissima.
Before I go on about this particular Deep Fryer let me give a little bit of Tefals details. This information...

...TefalMaxi Classic Deep Fat Frier
My Mum bought me my Deep fat frier for christmas, she was sick of worrying that I’d have an accident with my
stove top chip pan. (God...do you still remember those?).
I had actually asked for one and was pleased with my present.
GOOD POINTS:
Easy to use... Plug it in, wait for the light to go out, lower the basket
Charcoal filter in the lid...Controls smells, can be bought by mail order from Tefal when needed to be replaced
1Kg food capacity... if you like your chips, you can do loads in one go
NOT SO GOOD POINTS
No “rise and fall” basket...you lower the basket into the fat using the little handle supplied
Not easy to clean...you have to pick it up to empty it
No thermostatic control...it’s either hot or it’s not
As far as a pressie goes, I was well chuffed but if I’d had a bit more money I...

Imagine being able to fry a batch of real home-made chips with just a tablespoon of olive oil. Sounds too good to be true?
