As we all know Tefal are pretty good and this fryer could have been excellent if only a little more thought had been put in to certain things, therefore I'm afraid this review is not as good as I would have liked it to have been, I believe the fryer to be quite dangerous. It has a retail price of around £100.00 and I think this is a high price to pay for something which isn't up to scratch. I like to find good items at the lowest possible price so luckily for me, I only paid around £50.00. If you really want this fryer, I urge you to look around for the cheapest price, as like I said, it does have it's faults and you may be dissapointed if you spend to much on this.
Because I have started off on a bad note, I will start by writing the good points about this product.
It looks stylish, especially if you have other black and/or stainless steel appliances in your kitchen. Tefal often use bright colours which may not fit in with other appliances you have so this was a real bonus for me.
The built in but removable oil container is great, it's more hygenic and much more convenient than the types where you have to pull that little tube out and find something to filter the oil into, this is time consuming and messy, most people result to leaving the oil sitting in the fryer as it's much easier! With this you basicly turn the dial on the front, there's little pictures there which make it very easy to see what your doing. If you have difficulty reading or seeing small writing, you really can't go wrong as it's all very clear. Once you have turned the dial it automaticly filters the oil for you, leaving you to put your feet up. Leave the container in it's place under the fryer and clean the rest of the bits ready for next time. When you need to use the fryer again just slide the container out and pour the oil back into the unit. Just make sure the dial is back to the cooking position before you do this as it will end up leaking all over your work tops and floor otherwise.
It cooks perfect chips and lets you know when the oil and food is ready by the sound of a loud alarm which is very usefull especially if you're a little forgetfull or like me, your mind has a habit of wondering.
The oil doesn't seem to take as long as other fryers to heat up..
It all comes apart easily for cleaning and is dishwasher safe, apart from, of course, the heating element.
It has four temperature settings and by simply pressing the RESET button everytime the oil is replaced, from then on, it'll always let you know when you need to change it, of course, if you feel the oil is fine you can still use it.
BAD POINTS
The handle to lift the lid is right next to the vent where the steam escapes, therefor making it pretty much impossible to have the lid on while cooking. Because all parts are removable the lid has no hinges so this problem is not solved by pushing a button to lift the lid as with most other fryers.
Although it's made from stainless steel the dial on the front is silver coloured and is very flimsy. It looks and feels as if it could break at any time. I understand this is for safety but maybe they could have used a stronger, black plastic as it would of still gone in with the design and would have generally looked much better. The fact that they tried to make it look like stainless steel just makes the product look a bit cheap and it certainly isn't is it! Mine has already jammed and I've only used it 3 times so this says it all.
It is impossible to turn the appliance off via the controls as, again they are at the back of the fryer, right next to the steam vent. I have to pull the plug out a bit quick hoping to god I don't scald myself in the process.
Leaving the dial on the filter option can be easily done which as stated above will result in the oil pouring out of the unit, all over the place. It would help if the filter had an automatic lock or something to remind you to turn the dial back to the right position before pouring new oil in.I have recently had a problem with the valve not closing properly even when the dial is in the correct position so this is another issue, luckily the oil was not hot as it was new and the container was in place but this is a serious flaw in the product and could cause serious accidents.
Like I said this could have been a very good product from Tefal but it seems they haven't thought the design through carefully enough. Safety is the most important thing and there are some real saftey issues here with this product infact I have noticed that many well known stores state that Tefal Oleoclean has infact been discontinued so maybe these issues have been taken note of.
I hope my review helps you with your choice and thank-you for reading!.

Quick review of Tefal FR 7009 PRO FRY Oleoclean
Wowed by the reviews of this fryer, I purchased one yesterday. A day later and without even having cooked anything, I am putting it back in the box and getting ready to take it back to the shop. Having washed it in accordance with the instruction booklet, I poured 3.3 litres of oil into the frying bucket. 3.3 litres of oil then proceeded to pour out of the valve in the bucket and all over my kitchen work surfaces and floor. The fryer then went back into the dishwasher and I cleaned up. I then tried again but this time over the sink. The oil once again poured straight out through the valve. I'm not going to try again. ...

Advantages: Clean oil via oil filtration and dishwasher proof Disadvantages: watch the timings given in the book it may not be to your liking.
Are you fed up of greasy chippers? Then invest in this. It is the cleanest fryer I have come across. You filter the oil each time you fry so you have clean oil every time. It tells you when you need to change the oil too. Most of the fryer is dishwasher prove which makes cleaning really easy. If you wipe the rest as soon as you have drained the oil then the cleaning is done.
The only frustrating thing I have found with this is unless you are changing ... ...dish washer in stages. My advice would be to watch and time the first time you cook a particular item as I followed the guidance times in the booklet that came with the fryer for chips and my chips were overdone for my liking. After I had done this I set the fryer to the temperature and time I wanted and I had perfect chips every time. ...

...and keep clean. Although the Tefal FR7009 is not the cheapest on the market, it is the best we have come across. Argos originally priced it at £99.99, but reduced it to £79.99. It comes with clear instructions and is very easy to use. Full marks to Tefal for the Automatic Oil Filtration system, which allows the oil to drain away safely in its own container housed in the base of the unit after the cooking has been completed. It takes all the guess ...

Advantages: A filtering system... when it can be bothered to work properly. Disadvantages: Leaks oil, Lots of washing up and bits and pieces to clean.
I would avoid this product like the plague. The features seem inviting but the mess and clean up soon put end to those attractions. I have had two of these, the first one fried wonderfully but when it came time to filter the oil through the system it ended up all over my work surface and all over my laminate floors. Thinking it was a flaw in this particular one, i returned it and got another one. Everything was set up correctly as instructed and ... ...the filtration system it started off filtering well and the moment i turned my back it ended up pouring out over my work surface and floor yet again. I now find a pot and some oil is much more simple. Cleaning this simple is an ardent task as well, too many bits and pieces to be cleaned. ...

Advantages: ease of use Disadvantages: none as yet
The Tefa Pro Fyr Oleclean is very easy to use. When you have chosen the cooking temperature wait for the machine to beep. Place items to be cooked set time and again wait for the beep. Once you have finished using turn the dial to the right and when the oil is cool enough it will drain away into the stoarage containere which can then be removed and stored. You can then, should you need to clean out any bits so they don't burn in the future or put ...
