Advantages Easy to use, lightweight to handle, good value for money, good water cpacity

Disadvantages None from me (Which is unusual for me!)

I have been using the iron that I currently have for some time now and seeing it has lasted longer than any of my previous irons,( I have a really bad track record with irons)but after getting a good use out of my Tefal appliance, model FV4480 I think that it is now time for me to share my thoughts! Rather than me having a moan about the appliance because it has broken after several months, this review should be a positive one! I am not sure what it is that I do to irons and it is not like I am ironing all night and day as there is just the two of us in my household but I struggle getting a product that suites me but now I feel this one is a lot better for my needs. Here are my thoughts on it.

The iron, as I mentioned it produced by the Tefal brand and it will cost you around the £37.00 mark. This is a slightly reduced price than what I paid for it but I have looked around and this appears to be the standard price. I paid £44.00 for it about a year ago so there is a significant reduction in the price. The iron can be found in places like Debenhams and John Lewis as well as electrical retailers. The iron can also be found online at Amazon so it is fairly available and at the lower cost.

The iron itself came well packaged in a cardboard box. Upon opening, you will see that the iron has a one year manufacturer’s guarantee and a detailed instruction booklet. The iron is brightly coloured, it is mainly white and a deep blue in colour and looks sleek and stylish. The iron has the Tefal logo in small lettering down the one side and there are also a couple of controls. The iron has a number of features, all once you have read the instructions are really easy to operate. The iron has 2300 w of power and has a water capacity of 270ml which I have found for the piles of ironing that I have to tackle it a great amount.

To plug the iron in and getting it heating up is easy, especially as there is 3m of flexible electrical cord. The iron has a temperature dial and at the highest temperature it only takes about a minute to get to temperature which is impressive. The iron has a slightly arched handle that is easy to hold and the iron doesn’t feel heavy to glide around your fabrics, the fact that this is quite lightweight is a definite plus point for the iron. The next major plus point is how easy this iron gets the creases out of clothes, I appreciate that is the purpose of all irons but this one just glides over those really stubborn creases.

The irons steam function is another great plus point, one of the reasons it makes the removal of creases easy. As I mentioned, the water storage is 270ml so it creates a lot of steam at the push of a button. The steam is vertical and there is also an anti drip facility with the iron that stops the wet going onto your fabric.

I have nothing but praise for this price and I also think it is good value for money. I like that you don’t have to iron over fabrics more than once, a brush over it and the crease is removed. The iron I guess helps make the ironing that little bit less effortless and anything that does that is a winner with me!

Sounds like a good one, though I'd probably want a bigger tank.
