This iron is simply amazing; expensive, but amazing. You could probably iron two tee shirts at once, it's so powerful and quick! I only need to iron one side of a garment once, rather than going over the same spot several times or spray it with water first, even on jeans! I have just done a duvet cover, folded in half, ironing only one side and finished it in about a minute!

Don't be worried by all that steam either; there are several presets on the iron so that you can chose one appropriate to the type of material you are ironing, so you won't destroy any delicate garments. The steam is so powerful that you can even hold the iron a couple of inches above your clothes and blast out the creases without touching the material, saving delicate garments from damage. Make sure to use a low setting though!
This iron works by filling the reservoir with tap water and letting it heat up for approximately 30 seconds. Make sure you have chosen your material by sliding the indicator to the correct setting (although I usually just leave mine on 'cotton' and only move it when ironing delicates), You can then iron as usual, using the occasional blast of steam (pressing the trigger on the handle), or like me, use a continuous blast for the laziest ironing you have ever done!
I would highly recommend this product, but only if you can afford it! The hefty price tag might mean it's worth buying second hand, although you may not have the warrantee if it breaks (which it shouldn't). This is quite a hardy iron. The iron and base together are slightly heavy, but the iron itself is light. And it's so simple to use, I didn't even have to read the instructions. It is also tidy, recoiling its long lead back into the iron base.
This iron is probably best if you have somewhere to put it, like a utility or laundry room. We are quite lazy and leave it out on the ironing board, ready for action. It is quite a big piece of apparatus, about the size of a watermelon (iron & base together), so it's easier to have somewhere to leave it rather than lumber it out each time. However, prior to buying this iron, I would not use a regular iron simply because it took so long, so don't let it's size put you off (plus, compared to other steam irons, it's not very big at all).
I would recommend this product 100% and if you are worried about the high price tag, consider how much your time is worth, how much your clothes are worth and how much your appearance is worth and you'll find it pays for itself. It really does make clothes look their best and even though I only buy cheap and cheerful, this iron keeps my threads looking great! It's silly to think, but little changes can make a big difference to your appearance and nicely kept clothes can really give you confidence. Plus if you have a bad back like me, the less time spent in front of an ironing board, the better!
This product may seem indulgent, but once you've used it you'll never go back and it becomes a necessity. Great buy and quality engineered too.
