Advantages: can cook a whole meal in it, and it's healthy
Disadvantages: can't think of any

This is one of those items that I thought I'd get, it would be a bit of a fad, and would end up stuck in the cupboard. I was wrong though! Maybe I'm naive, but it's surprising how much you can actually cook using this, it's not just for steaming your veg at all. I have also steamed fish, rice, even a whole chicken, and my mum has made a chocolate cake (which was delicious, and because it came from a steamer, you could kid yourself it was healthy!). ...
...but it's actually easier than you'd think, because you can use one, two or all three of the bowls, you can cook a whole meal in it, so there is actually less washing up. Also, the middle bits come away, so you can put a whole chicken in, and this also makes it easier to clean (the bowls go in the dishwasher too). Disadvantages: None that I have found so far.

I had been thinking about buying a steamer like this for some time, but had never got around to it. I am so glad that I did and just wish that I had done so years ago! It is easy and quick to use and produces excellent results with minimum effort. The veg and fish I have cooked have been delicious and all the goodness is still there. I have been using this steamer since Christmas 2008, and i would not be without it, it cooks the food to perfection, the food tastes better and vegetables do not go mushy, have cooked fish in it and that tastes really good of course there are lots of other things that can be cooked in the steamer and also it is veryu good for you keeping all the vitamins locked in
