This is a true Tekken game in every shape and form and this does justice to the long-running beat-em series. Having most of the tekken games from tekken tag to tekken 5, i was considerably impressed with the detail and thought put into the game. This is a superb game and does not need to lean on the franchise' success - this is a excellent game alone.
There are an array of characters from the old favourites in Paul Pheonix and Law to Bryan Fury ... ...given 35 fighters each distinctive and each with their own signature moves from new ones like Dragunov and Lilly to the old foes of the series such as Heihachi and Kazuya. The game includes many different modes and unlocks such as movies clips which add to the story and team battle, time attack, and a quick battle that has a Ranking mode in which you will fight gradually, to move up the rankings (1st dan, 2nd dan) via ranking matches that you earn ...

Tekken Dark Resurrection is a port of an arcade game released a couple of years back with a few new things (eg 2 new characters) added in. It follows the usual beat 'em up style that is just so great in Tekken games that keeps you coming back.
I believe that this is one of the best PSP games to date for many reasons. One is the graphics which are stunningly beautiful and are the best graphics I've seen on a PSP. They are so bright and detailed with ... ...the graphics were on the PS2, never mind the PSP.
Another strong point is the amount of modes that will keep you busy. There is a story mode, quick battle, Dojo, minigames, and many others. This, mixed with the 30 characters will keep you playing for ages. There is as much depth here as in a console game that you will not see it as a PSP game and you will play it instead of your console at home.

Tekken on psp is everything you could want from a portable beat em up: a good selection of characters, large variety of great gamemodes, customisable features and overall fun and addicitve gameplay. Dark Resurection is at heart a add on from Tekken 5 and therefore everything you have expected from the series makes a welcome appearance. New features include two new playable charactercs "Lili" and "Druganov" and the return of "Armor King" as well as ... ...mode also feautres where by characters have to progress through a series of tournaments/dojos in a bid to become the best. This provides a nice diversion from the usual story/versus modes and adds longetivity to the game. Money earnt from these modes can be used to purchase and customise the characters as well as unlock additional movies etc. This in itself adds depth to the gameplay and gives the player the chance to make one character truly his ...

Advantages: Brilliant graphics, realistic fighting action and plenty of stunning combo-moves Disadvantages: PSP D-Pad needs a bit of getting used to for the combo-moves.
Tekken Dark Resurrection offers the same great gameplay on the PSP as it does on the larger consoles, and in my opinion, is simply the best 3D fighter game on the PSP yet.
There's two new characters in the lineup - Lili and Dragonav, and has all the favourites from the previous versions...34 in all.
There's different types of battles - a quick match, ranking arcade-style matches, story-modes (which takes each character though a ridiculous but fun ... ...bored of the fighting, there's also a silly bowling game built-in; and there's plenty of costumes, colors and accessories for each character to be unlocked.
The best feature I liked was the game-sharing option; so you can challenge the game to another friend over wireless LAN even if they don't have a copy of the game!
The only downside is that the controls were a bit difficult for me, but this isn't a flaw of the game so much as it is a limitation ...

I. Love. Tekken. Full Stop.
I have owned every single one of these games, and to be honest, was a bit dubious when this came out! I was thinking, would it compare to Tekken 5, as I played this on the PS2 and was hooked on the faster gameplay and the fantastic graphics!
Thankfully, this game just works! The graphics are fantastic for a PSP game, and it is just as addictive as the rest of them!
I think that possibly the best feature that this system ... ...well, lame. One level of a game to play, or limited gameplay. Not here! You send a complete game of Tekken over! - What more could you ask?! Admittedly, this does take a while, and is much slower than if it were 2 UMDs, but still, why complain.
When you win fights, you gain G, which is the in-game currency. This can be used to completely customize all characters, from sombreros to glowing auras!
Tekken Dojo is a rather cool online feature. 'Ghosts' ...

Tekken 5 is the fifth installment in the tekken series (excluding tekken tag tournament) , and has been dubbed as the "best beat em up of all time." It originated on the playstation one with 'Tekken' and then followed with Tekken 2 and Tekken 3. Tekken 3 really did show a massive improvement in the gameplay and system, and was the highest rating Tekken on PS1. Then the series followed onto the PS2, with Tekken 4 being one of the first games to appear on the console back in 2001. Then in 2005 Tekken 5 hit the shelves, and has since been then been argued as bring Tekken back to its roots.
Since the release of Tekken 5, there has also been an extra release of Tekken: DarkResurrection, also known as Tekken 5.2. This has been released on psp, and now more recently the ps3.
Tekken 5 has been credited with it's all more fluid and well ...
