I first got a mobile phone last year using the one2one prepay serivce, which I thought very reasonable, and adequate for my basic need. I was spending about £15 per month on their standard tariff (30p/min for 2mins of each day thereafter 5p/min.) When I was told about telecom plus by a relative, I didn't think that I would get good enough value because in my opinon I would have to cope with a line rental and my calls.

Enter Mobile Extra, upon being told about this service, I was finnally talked into it and got a phone from them! I found out that the promises of the company were true! My average monthly bill has never been more than £5 and I have now been with them for nearly a year.

The service is simple, all standard calls are at 10p/min and text messages are 10p/msg there is no line rental, but they have a minimum call charge of £3. So basically you only start getting charged for calls after you go over the £3 mark, because that's what they're going to charge you anyway! They provide 2 options when you get the service, a SIM-only option (for those who already have a compatible phone) or you can choose from 3 or 4 handsets (sorry don't know those prices!)

This just allowed me to break free from the routine of having to buy top-ups and was ideal for me as I wasn't making enough calls to make it worth while getting a contract with full line rental. Most rentals would be £10 at least plus the £15 of calls, say £10 to allow for inclusive minutes, that is £20/month
