...After completing my BSc(Hons) in Electronic Engineer and Physics at Loughborough (within the Physics Department), and considering the position of the work force at that time, I decided that specialisation into a particular field was necessary. Considering the latest boom in the de-regulation of the world telecommunication systems, the MSc Digital Communication Systems, run by the department was the idle solution.
The course provides a compulsory timetable of twelve subjects covering all aspects of the current world telecommunications, including fixed and mobile, transport and coding, security and military comms, and future developments. The three month project included involvement in real research projects, work with external companies or the involvement in the EURASMUS scheme to study within Europe.

...ECS, short form of Electronic and Computer Science Department, is rated 5 out of 5 in teachin qualities, providing most up-to-date and almost-perfect quality facilities in University of Southampton. The whole ECS is subdivided many groups, such as Declarative Systems and Software Engineering, Semiconductor, Telecommunications and so on for research.
The reason I chose ECS mainly because of the lecturers' quality. They are helpful, kind and willing to spend their time on students no matter what problems they are having. In fact the subjects the ECS has are very suit to the world needs, which can assure students getting brilliant career when they graduated....

Advantages: Great experiance,fulfilling Disadvantages: Tough,possibility of death
...examinations with advisory interviews and the oppurtunity to talk to real royal marines who can tell you what the ife and experiance could be like for you should u want to join.
Pay and conditions are the best in the armed services as an able rating as you will find throughout all services.
You are able to specialise and study in certain areas that will lead to amazing possibilities after you leave.These could include,chef,mechanic,engineer,navigation,boat operator,telecommunications...the list is endless.
It is also a great way to travel overseas,although under orders you will still be able to see amazing landscpaes and meet some wonderful people.
On saying this i still point out however that the basic idea of the royal marines is like any other ARMED force unfortunatly.At the end of the day you are still faced with the possibility of death...
